Shoots in the 70s

I've played Johnson park 4-5 times a year for the past several years and love going there every time. The whole atmosphere is very old-school and very friendly. They have excellent practice facilites-full range, chipping green w/bunker, putting green-kind of surprising for a course that is over 80 years old and in the lower price range ($25 18 holes walking). The course itself is a bit on the short side, about 6500 yds from the tips, but the fairways are narrow, tree lined tradtional style golf. The first hole is an amazing 600 yd. dogleg right downhill par 5 that for me ranks as one of the best par 5's ive ever played. The back nine is probably the stronger nine and can be very fun and interesting to play as it has an unusual combination of three par 3's, three par 4's and three par 5's. The best comparison I can come up with would be that Johnson Park is a slightly lesser version of Brown Deer Park-the courses just feel very similar in terms of layout and visuals. So if you enjoy tradtional style courses like Brown Deer you will love Johnson Park.

Customer Service

Very nice without being overbearing, starter always present in his own starters building by the first tee-kind of oldschool in an appealing way.

Johnson Park Golf Course is ok. They are getting a little pricey for what it is. I may be spoiled from when it was 10.50 for nine. Now 11.75 in April. Fun course, like it there, can be very very slow on Sundays.
