Kettle Hills is a golf course that has a lot of nice holes and good scenery but the course itself is in very bad conditioning. The tees and fairways are shaggy, uncut, and full of potholes and bad grass.

This is a fine course and an excellent value for the money at $15. 36 holes, soon to be 45. I have really enjoyed this course as I play often. The ponds and woods nine make up a challenging 18 holes. Most people shoot better on the ponds, there is water involved on 7 of 9 holes, but not enough to hurt you. Woods is most challenging of the 36 holes. A sliced tee shot could spell disaster with fairways guarded on either side by thick woods and bunkers. Last 2 holes of woods are tough. #17: You MUST hit a perfect tee shot of about 225 down the fairway on this dogleg left hole. From there, you have a 175 shot downhill onto a small green guarded heavily by trees. #18: This is THE toughest hole at KH. 550 yds. Accuracy is critical, though you don't have to hit the ball especially long. After tee shot, you must hit to a landing area from 150 yds away at the crest of a hill. From there, you have a difficult shot from 150, purely downhill to a green guarded by a swamp and trees. Very tough. Valley 18 is nice if you don't want to lose many balls :) Less challenging but just as long the other course. Back nine is easiest IMO with few trees. Overall, KH has nice variety with a medium challenge for the good to average golfer.

This is a very nice golf course. The scenery is fabulous, with woods, and clear ponds. This is a challenging course, but nothing that will ruin you forever.

Might sound wierd. The refreshment stands are very nice. They are located all around the course, and refreshments are driven out to you while golfing.

Decent courses for the cost. Ponds/Woods are my preference and are toughter than the Valley course. They also added another 9 holes this year - an executive linkls style. Pace of play is decent.

These are my favorite inexpensive courses in the Milwaukee area. Better pace of play than the Milwaukee county courses and in better shape. I prefer the Ponds/Woods course over the more wide open Valleys course, but Ponds/Woods is a bit tougher as you might expect. Both are great values.

Customer Service

Nice and helpful.

The Ponds/Woods are the old course and are named that way for a reason. The Ponds seem to a little easier to score on while the Woods can bite you very quickly. The last 2 holes on the Woods are the toughest 2 finishing holes I’ve seen. 17 is a 405 from the Blue tees, tee shot must be positioned perfectly to reach the DOWNHILL tight little green. 18 makes 17 look easy, 551 yards requires a 2nd shot of about 150 yards to a lay-up area where again you have to be positioned well to get a good shot at a very tight green that is a very easy a 3-putt, did I mention the pond/swamp ready to eat you ball?

The valley 18 is the newer course and is a little more wide open until the
Newer trees grown-up. Not as tough as the Ponds/Woods but is a nice layout and is player friendly.
