I’m a regular visitor to the Northwoods since growing up in Chicago; I currently live in Monterey and play pretty much every weekend.

This is an excellent course and well above what you might expect at most munis. Holes are interesting and generally this is a tight course requiring accurate tee shots and accuracy coming into the greens. I liked the speed and condition of the greens which have some, but not too much contour.

I walked on during a weekday in early June and although it was fairly busy, I got out right away with some guys that were regulars. If I lived in this area, I’d definitely be playing this all the time.
