Really busy on the few nice days in WI

Nice little pitch and putt. Fun little change of pace course. Nice to take beginners to. Is in surprising good shape for having so many hackers out there. Dont venture in the woods unless you are looking for a little action from milwaukees alternative community.

Excellent "teaching" course. Pleasant, park-like setting.

Not much of a challenge for the experienced golfer.

Hansen GC is a small 18 hole par-3 "pitch n' putt" course located in a nice Milwaukee County park (please see Zablocki GC for a similar venue).

This course is really two courses in one. The first 9 holes are very, very short. The average length is about 80 yards. It's a nice place to teach younger golfers, however, anyone else will just need a PW and a putter. The back 9 holes offer more of a challenge. Trees and small streams come into play on several of the holes while the 17th is a 230 yard par 4 (the only par 4 on the course). This is really the only hole in which you can use a longer iron off the tee.

The greens and fairways are usually in nice shape (which is common for Milwaukee County courses). However, the fall leaves can make putting an adventure. There is a small clubhouse offering the usual choices of drinks and pre-made sandwiches. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

Hansen should be viewed for what it is... a nice teaching course offering a variety of holes for the beginning or high handicap golfer.
