I may be bios because I work for the Powder Horn but this course is amazing! The customer service is also amazing. The course is not going private as past reviews stated. It will be quite awhile before they go private. Dont miss the chance to play this course!

Wow! A real jewell in the foot hills of the Big Horn Range outside Sheridan, Wy. I have family there and will play it everytime I visit. It is so beautiful and a challange too. You should not miss this course if in the area.

Customer Service

They were working on the new clubhouse in 03. I suspect it is outstanding considering the staff and courses.

An amazing course. I played all 27 holes and was most impressed with the Stag and Eagle nines. Certainly deserving of a top 100 ranking. I love the holes that go through the swampy areas with huge cottonwood trees. There's a nice variety of the lowland/swampy holes and the open, hilly grassland holes. If I had to choose a weakness, it would be that greens were a bit slow, but that's probably because they aerated them not that long ago. Also, it really stinks that it's going private. They should keep one or two days a week open to public play once they become private.

I am from Sheridan and play the course whenever I go back to visit. This course is as good as any I have played in Illinois and there are some great courses here. Too bad it's going to turn private denying regular people a world class golf experience.

This course is very nice and I suggest that you try to play it before it turns private. Very well taken care of, not a blade of grass out of place! My wife and I saw deer and pheasant on the course. Although the course is only 5 years old it was designed in very mature surroundings and is a blast to play. I here rumors they want to be on PGA tour soon, and are also adding 9 more holes to start a 2nd course. Very beutiful, very good course and a verrrry good deal at $40 on the week days.
