Has been and still is one of my favorite courses. Beautifully maintained. Choc chip cookies at the starter's booth and the marshals bring tootsie pops onto the course. Everything is first class. Pro shop is great. OK, it's expensive but well worth it once in a while.

I haven't actually played this course in real life but I did play it on my PC last night on Links 2003. Microsoft just provided a free download of the Aviara Golf Course. If this course is half a beautiful as it is on the screen, I can't wait to play it. Before you pay nearly $200.00 to play the real course, get the latest Links 2003 and play it all you want for FREE!

Nice Course. Front 9 is a plus.....back nine pretty ordinary for a up scale course. (#18 thou is a bitch!) Condition of the course was perfect. Glad I played it but won't play it again. Typical Palmer course.....nice but very over priced.

Hands down my favorite course in San Diego! Some of the nicest par three's you can play. Fairways are inviting however, you still need to be carefull with all the undulation. To really get an assessment of your own game as well as an apreciation for the skills of a professional you should play this course from the tips at least one time. It is a humbling experience to say the least. I have been plating this course for the last 6 years and have not gotten tired of it yet.

Beautiful setting, beautiful course! Course is awesome with a varied set of holes, the best collection of par threes in the area, and great conditioning. The variety of holes and shots required keep the course interesting, particularly when played several times. Putting is true, but large greens mean several three putts. My only complaint is the "tricked" up difficulty of #18, where I have seen several good rounds unravel at the end.

First thought that came to mind was "GREEN!!!" Not a dead patch on the course. This course is absolutely fabulous and immaculate. Bring a camera and take plenty of pictures. The fairways are "carpet-like", the greens are fast and huge (very easy to three putt if you are not careful). The course is in a canyon like setting and plays long if you are not a long hitter as I am. The fairways are rolling but not too narrow. This course kicked my butt the first time I played it. I kept thinking to myself "what was Arnold thinking" when he designed Aviara? Words cannot describe this course. You're gonna have to play it to believe it! If you get a chance, I highly suggest Aviara be on your list of courses to play.
