I haven't played the course in years, since I was a kid. I did drive through there a couple of months ago and the course itself is still in great shape. Very nice place to play golf, but I'm guessing that the rounds are slow due to so many walkers.

It used to be a private course. Now I hear they have gone public because they are hurting for memberships. While the clubhouse is nice, the facility offers very little for a family. If they had a pool, they would gain membership and it really is that simple.

Unfortunately the Delaware "old money" mentality seems to be prevailing. That crowd is generally made up of the biggest @ssholes on the planet.

Customer Service

Great course..lots of tradition. The DuPont course is can be a challenge for those who do not drive straight. Lots of deep rough. Great course for those who like to walk..not a lot of carts. Clubhouse just renovated..looks great.

The Championship course at DuPont is a very traditional golf course, with few memorable holes. It is very flat, with many holes with slight bends or doglegs. Typically the course is in it's best shape just prior to the LPGA tournament in late May or early June. Unfortunately this course typically plays extremely slow, and is not that challenging for lower handicap golfers.

Similar Products Used: The clubhouse is in need of some updates.
