Great course-- played it once and it's alredy one of my favorites. I play a lot of golf in the St. Louis/Illinois area, and you won't find a deal much better than this one. I played the twilight rate of $48 and the weather was beautiful, starting around 80 with a breeze and ending a few degrees less than that. Ask any St. Louisan about how often you get that kind of weather in the summer and you might understand why I'm marveling over it. When me and my partners were playing we couldn't help but notice how the wispy grass and pretty good breeze every now and then gave the course a heavy Scottish feel. Standing up on the first tee it felt like we were overseas. If you ever play the course you will certainly know what I mean right when you look at it. i was a little skeptical driving up to the course at first, because it's really in the middle of no where...in a bunch of cornfields and such. But the designer (I forget his name) did a great job manufacturing hills and they are well placed. Annbriar is by no means a long course. We played the back tees and it wasn't even 6900 yards. I'm not a long hitter and I handled the distance just fine. Another thing I noticed, this course actually uses their bunkers as a means of BOTH hazard and aesthetics. It seems like most courses now just use them for the latter. I find myself wondering just what that bunker is doing 25 yards in front of the tee in the middle of the rough on too many courses. The bunkers are very well-placed and require golfers to take them into account. I would also like to add that if you ever play at Annbriar that you should definitely buy the yardage book. It's a very handy tool, especially because there aren't many sprinkler heads that have yardages in most landing areas. It's only $4 and definitely worth the purchase, because once we got out there I don't know if we could have finished the round without it because markers are very scarce. The booklet is a great tool and easy to use. My only complaint is that it had a few hardness issues. Behind some of the greens there was bare ground and I had balls roll OB 3 twice that were by no means bad shots, and it was clear the hardness wasn't intentionally put there. Overall, though, it's in great shape. I would recommend this course to anyone who is going to be in or around the St. Louis area, it's a bargain. I'll be back.

Customer Service

Fantastic. A well trained staff of young kids that were surprisingly very outgoing and well-mannered. I was truly impressed with the cart girls and boys who were outspoken and very friendly, seemingly mature beyond their years. I will ceratinly be back and the managers/staff/etc. have done an excellent job with Annbriar.

Food at the turn. Sandwich was great...called in from the ninth tee at a booth they have set up for that very purpose and it was ready by the time we had finished hole.

NICE course. Deep rough, well placed bunkers, "target" golf... Lakes, woods, everything that makes a course fun/tough. Had a good time playing this course. Not difficult enough to make it "not Fun," but i would come out here if u are just a weekend golfer. A really great price for what u get.

Customer Service

This is a course that we play 2 or 3 times a year. The winter green fee rate of $35.00 is a bargain for this course. I have yet to play this course when the conditions were less than excellent. They entire staff is helpful and friendly. One nice feature on this course is the multiple tee boxes, this makes the course more enjoyable for all levels of golfers. It is a fair cource in terms of being wide open, but if you do miss a fairway, you will pay the price most of the time. Over all, this is one of the best, if not the best, courses in the area.

Customer Service

always friendly and accomidating

This is a course that must be played. I play a lot of golf in St. Louis area and this is one of my favorites. (see Stonewolf and Tapawingo also) You won't be dissapointed here. Entire course condition is excellent and staff, clubhouse are all great. for regular weekend price of $58 it is a good deal for this area. THe first nine is like a links style course but they used earth movers to create large moguls the line each hole. The result allows you to play your hole without even seeing other holes or golfers. Very impressive design all around. The back is where this course comes on. It is cut through valleys with lots of towering oaks. The 11th, the signature hole, has a golden eagle that frequently flys overhead. What a beautiful hole! Don't miss this course!

This is one of the most beautiful courses that I have ever played. Immaculate condition, beautiful scenery, challenging layout, and extremely courteous staff. The fairways, greens and tees were perfect. Other courses need to take lessons from the staff. My bag was unloaded from my car and put on my cart, which has a ball washer/club cleaner attached. I was driven to the range to hit a few balls before my teetime. The pro shop staff and restaurant staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. All of this for $45 on a Monday. Very little things, but it made the round that much better. The only complaint that I had was the pace of play. I was set off by myself behind a ladies foursome. I had 2 ladies twosomes behind me. I saw quite a few twosomes, threesomes on the course. I thought that some of them should have been paired up. Four hours and forty-five minutes for a 18 hole round. It was nice to admire the scenery, but would have enjoyed faster play. Very minor problem with an otherwise perfect day.

Customer Service

Definately the most courteous and helpful staff, I have encountered.
