Shoots in the 100s

(2003) My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our outing. It was my first visit since the renovations. Course was in great shape and fun. Only rough spot was the cart path between 16 and 17. Much better layout than before (I do miss the short par 3 on the front of the back 9).

Customer Service

Friendly.

Concession stand was better when it was staffed by a pretty young face. Now it is help your self. (Cost cutter).

Haven't been to Cabin Brook in a year as last time it was in poor condition (resodding, tee boxes all hacked up) but was pleasantly surprised today (June 16, 2003). The fairways were spongy and clean, and the greens were slick and maintained (besides the ball marks left throughout). The proshop has been renovated, and the putting green gives you a good idea of the grass on the greens. The concessions need some work though. The course looked very good today overall.

Customer Service

very good

Shoots in the 80s

I am reviewing all of the courses I have played in the state of KY and this one starts it off. I last played this course maybe 8 months ago and remember it being a course that is good for game-improvement and a good value with a good pace of play, but one that was not in the best of shape and wasn't very interesting. A good course to get out of a crowd (unlike a Lakeside, etc.), to try some variety, and to see how well you can score, but other than that...this is really a bore.

Friendly staff

This course sucks. It is too easy and no fun. It is in pathetic condition. The holes are right on top of each other. The greens are dry as a bone always. The layout is bad. The wood that borders some of the greens with water next to them is about to fall off.

driving range sucks and so does practice green. The practice green does not have holes, instead it has sticks.

Shoot in the 80s

The course was in very good condition except for in some areas where they were doing some renovations and remodeling. There weren't a lot of divots in the tees or fairways making shots a lot easier. The course wasn't hard at all. They had small, fast greens, though. The course was very flat and that made it a very walkable course. There were a couple of huge holes throughout the course but they were out of the way, unless you were to hit a really bad shank shot.

The condition of the course was poor, but two months earlier it was in good condition. So inconsistancy is a problem. The holes are on top of each other and the service is below par. Disappointing to say the least...
