Shoot in the 90s

This part of Minnesota has seen a lot of rain this spring, but Burl Oaks is in great shape. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition with hardly any "rough" areas. All the new construction on the course which debuted in late 2000 was well worth the wait. Both nines on this course are now top-drawer with a LOT of challenging holes. Burl Oaks is a hidden gem in Twin Cities golf, and although private, is worth finding a member to play with.

The back-9 got a substantial makeover last year and all of the fairly plain holes are now a lot tougher. The course has lots of water and in many cases the water is in play on crucial shots. New tee boxes on most holes on the back-9 have given this course a whole new look. The new signature hole, #16, is a tough par-5 with a big dogleg right around OB and a new green that is about 70 yards wide with a bunker protecting most of it in front.

If you had to play a course day-in-and-day-out, Burl Oaks would be the one!
