Variety of holes from water hazards, to a links-style wide open holes, to tree lined par fives. It is a picturesque setting around the East Gallatin river and at the base of the Bridger Mountains. Driving range and putting greens make this a good course to play.

The front nine has some very small, convex-shaped greens that make hitting the green somewhat difficult. It is a test for your short irons to hit it and stick it. The other weakness would be the lack of sand in appropriate areas. I feel that the course would be better suited if some fairway sand traps were introduced. Each hole could stand to inherit a trap or two to make this an excellent course.

Its early season (April) and the course seems in pretty good shape. The first few rounds saw the greens in a shaggy condition, but with some growth and mowing, the greens are looking better albeit still slow. The only way to play this course is to shoot it from the tips which on this course is the blues (6500/69.9/119). It offers a variety of holes which no two are alike and promises to punish you if you fail to play the correct shot. Bridger has 3 holes on the back (14, 15, and 16) that are reminescent of Amen Corner. These three all have water hazards and with any mistake can cost you dearly. Playing the 15th hole from the blue tees at 201 yards with water on the right and OB hazards around the green make this the toughest par 3 in the valley.
