Shoots in the 90s

On a busy day, a hard hat might be a wise addition to your bag at this course. It is very tight with holes set close together. The second hole is probably one of the shortest par 5s in the state, but needing to shape your tee shot adds some difficulty. Course conditions aren't that great. Most greenside bunkers are surrounded by bare patches and there are a lot of dead spots in the fairways. The system of changing the tee markers so that the back nine plays differently than the front seems confusing. On one hole, the blue tees are the farthest back. On the next, the whites are playing longer. Why not play the whites on the front and blues on the back, or vice versa? This course used to be a pretty good deal, but their prices have skyrocketed in the past few years. Following suit with most other nine hole courses in the state, Woodland has raised their price to $20 for a nine-hole round.

Customer Service

The bartender serves as the cashier, starter and cook on most days. The grounds crew is terrible. They think nothing of making calls on their Nextels during your putts. Apparently, they don't play golf.
