What to say about Meadowbrook? This course has so much potential for its location. The layout is far from the typical Florida course, as it has many hills and elevated tees. Quite a few fairways that let you drive all the way out to the edges and your ball will trickle down dead center. Having said that, the course gets a 3 overall rating. My major complaint is about the greens. Forgetting all the brown dead spots that are abundant on almost every green, the amount of sand makes one putting from more than 10 feet an exercise in futility. It''s frustrating getting on in regulation only to 2 or even 3 putt with good solid strokes. If the greens were brought up to speed, this course would receive a solid 4. The $18 twillight rate brings the value rating up to a 4.
