This course is like time travel back to a different time and place. Great marsh views on many holes. If you are looking for a resort course with perfectly manicured fairways, rough and greens play at a different course as this is not it. Take this course for what it is, a very very well kept gem that is a throwback to golf at a different time with the conditions that golfers with persimmon clubs and plus fours played. Resort golf is nice but this is great also. This course lulls you with wide fairways and then bam hidden fairway bunkers and very tough fast greens. This course was very challenging but I felt it was fair. I wish this was my home course.

Customer Service

The club staff was great. Clubhouse was well stocked. Again this is not a resort course so there is no bev cart girl or snackbar at the turn selling hot dogs and jack daniels We bought some sandwiches at the club house before we went out and they were great. A yardage book or course layout guide would have been helpful but still had a great time without it.

Par fours on this course are mostly straight and after a while get boring. I had a membership once but a $500+ increase after Hurricane Hugo for cleanup sent me packing. Six month summer play was extremely boring as I always played alone as there were never any other golfers at this stuffy private club where residents report you for any little reason to a members board which may revoke membership.

Customer Service

Only in clubhouse.

Yeamans Hall is a mostly straight par four course that I was a member of. I dropped out after Hurricane Hugo when rates were raised $800 in two years. I suppose for chainsaw cleanup. I dreaded playing there in the summer because I literally could find no one to join up with and always had to play alone. There were so few players on the course. The atmosphere is stuffy and residents report you to the board for the littlest complaint in hopes that you are kicked out of the membership which is no big loss.

Customer Service

There was no customer service outside of the clubhouse.

If you get the chance to play here, take it. It's really a step back in time... classic layout, old trees, fake fronts, speedy and square cut greens. Play from the rust tips for a real challenge (it plays a lot longer than a 6679 par 70 seems it should).

Customer Service

No frills. Just golf.
