A unique gem of a course, located in the most unlikely place, Sioux City, Iowa. I had the pleasure of working on this golf course for a season, in its early years. This course gives you a variety of golf holes all in one course. The first five holes give you links golf at its finest, the wind is a big issue. On hole six, you begin your journey through the dense cottowood forest that fringe the Missouri river. From hole six on you get a mix of deep forest and open river bank golf. This course hosted the Nationwide tour for several years in its infancy, when it was know as the Nike Tour. It is perfectly manicured by a top notch superintendent, and was designed by the world famous, Arnold Palmer. If you like golf the entire Sioux City area is a midwest mecca, offering fourteen courses for a city of only 80,000. The best part of the golfing experience at Dakota Dunes, is the abundant midwest hospitality, this place will cater to your every need.

A challengin course for all levels of golfers. Make sure to bring alot of balls, a good golfer can have troubling times with the hazards on this course. Many sandtraps, and some water. The 18th is perfect finishing hole running paralles to the river with some challenging cross winds. Thick trees throught out the course. Course is very spread out. Dont dare walk...
