Brown Acres is a nice muni'. Fairly open, and very straightforward. The greens are maintained well, and as long as it doesn't come a good rain, the course stays in pretty good condition. They have a great staff, and it is a fun course to play.

Fairways are flat and generously wide, If you are traveling from out of town to this couse it is easy to find because it is right off the interstate. The staff are helpful.

Always crowded. Tough to get an early tee time on the weekends. Play is generally slow unless you play during the week. Greens are not very challenging.

A good municipal course, always crowded. Not very long even from the back tees, and it is a fairly flat and straightforward course. A couple of interesting holes are a par three with a large elevation change, ie. Tee off way above the green. And a par four that has a small pond right in the middle of the fairway, but you can't see it from the tee. This course floods anytime it rains for more than 2 hours and takes a day or two to dry out. Beginning players will really like the course and should have a positive experience with it. A lot of local tournaments are held here as well as an occasional Hooter's tour event.
