Shoots in the 70s

What a waste of money and time this golf course is. Don't get me wrong. This course is in great shape, and the greens roll pure. Problem is that the rough is too deep for public play. If you aren't a 10 handicap or less don't bother. Had less skilled golfers in my group and they had a horrible time! Once in the rough they had problems advancing the ball, and often had to just knock it back in the fairway.

High Handicappers Beware!

Customer Service

Service is fine and most everyone is friendly. Only annoying part is they expect a 4hr & 15 min round of golf. But again, hard to accomplish with extremely deep rough. Most of the holes are cart path only, so you will be searching for your ball with about 3 or 4 clubs in your hand. Rangers on this course are very annoying!

Shoots in the 80s

Very scenic course especially the back nine (though I wouldn't compare it with Pebble Beach). Lots of hills and blind shots. A course that will allow you to use every club in your bag. On the negative side, the locals call it "Spongehenge" and I can see why. I lost 2 balls on the second day I played it and that was because they plugged so deep in the fairway that I couldn't find them. I had to dig out at least 5 or 6 balls per round. At $50/round it's a little pricier than I'm used to but's it's in line with other courses in the area.

Customer Service

Very friendly and helpful staff. Gave us some good reccomendations on other courses to play in the area.

Shoot in the 80s

What a course. I have played all over the country on private and high-end public facilities alike, and this ranks right up there with the best. The condition of the course is impeccable, the holes stunning and the challenge (while still being fair) wonderful.

The course is completely bent grass, due to cooler climate of Cumberland Plateau. Also, the course is perpetually spongy, due to the clay-based soil. This makes the 6500 yard back tees play more like 7000. You get NO roll.

Shoot in the 70s

This is absolutely the best course I have ever played. If you are reading this and considering playing it. You will be glad you did. The finest tees, fairways, greens, scenery you could ever imagine. Some of the scenery makes even Pebble Beach seem ordinary. No kidding. The number 1 public course in Tennessee and it is imaculate. You will not be disappointed.

This course should be played just to enjoy the scenery. At times you get caught up in the scenery and tend to pause the game. Great fairways, great greens. This is a very nice course that should be played if you are in the area. I got to play for free on one of those "condo weekend" deals. Was worth the sales pitch just for the golf game.
