From a woman's point of view ..... the RED tees are extremely short. The GOLD tees are very playable and challenging for the better woman golfer (hdcp to 15 or so). Very enjoyable mountain course; each hole has own unique layout and approach shots must be accurate for good scoring. Deep, tough rough so keep it down the middle.

This course holds some of the best views in the area. You's think you were on the Skyline Drive. About 1/2 of the course is up in the mountians and very interesting to play. There are a 3-4 grip it and rip holes and the rest need to played as the challenging golf hole which they are. A couple of the tees are in not so great shape, but that is indicative of most mountian courses. Number 5 welcomes you to the mountian portion of the course rather rudely. It's a long par 4 which plays to an elevated multi tiered green which drops off in the front and is only about 15 yards deep. I'd sell my soul for a par here. The rest of the mountian holes are up and down and very pretty. Take some time on each hole to look around. The first four holes and the last four are at the foot of the mountian are rather flat and open, but play to undulating greens. Rip the driver here since it's wide open, just make sure you stick the approach or you'll be looking at a tough 2 putt.
