Shoot in the 90s

One of very few courses in Washington, DC that is public. It is a short course set in the wooded hills of Rock creek Park. It is old and the setting is really pretty, but the course needs some work. The conditioning is poor, in part because there is so much shade. The greens are always thin. The fairways are not very level. Many of the holes on the back are through a narrow shoot of trees that hang over the fairways. The fairways are thin and there is a lot of gravelly dirt under the trees and waterflow channels. The front is pretty boring and short. It's still cool to play though. Sometimes I stop in on my way into work while driving through beautiful Rock Creek pkwy.

Shoot in the 100s

OK. Cource for weekend hackers like myself. Poor maintenence on cource. The fairways and the greens aren't in the best of shape. On many cources ther are large dividers between fairways so slices are not great consequences on the first few holes because you end up in the next fairway.

Customer Service

very welcoming staff.
