This course underwent a major renovation a few years ago. It is now called Miami Beach Golf Course. It is public but memberships are available. The course is relatively short but challenging with strategically placed hazards. Water or out of bounds comes into play in about 12-13 holes. You must have a good strategy and shot placement to score well. The course conditions are excellent with little to no rough in play and perfectly manicured greens and fairways. The grass is Pas Palum which does well near the ocean. It is unlike any you have played. You always have a perfect lie on the fairway and good lies off the fairway. The greens are excellent, running about 10 with less grain than bermuda. Best public course conditions in south florida. Good value for Miami Beach residents, decent value for Miami Dade residents, pricey for out of towners. Winter is more expensive but course is in its best shape.
