Bristlecone Pines is always in great shape and very well maintained. The Pro Shop staff is helpful, friendly and always accommodating. The fairways are lush and welcoming. The greens typically roll at a faster than normal pace, but always a fair pace. If you don't play this course in four hours or less, I'd be very surprised.

The front nine is beautiful and fun, but the real challenge begins on the back nine at this track. In fact; 15, 16 and 17 could be the best finishing holes in the state!

Bristlecone Pines has long been my first choice for out of town guests.

Highly recommended!

This course rates 4.5 stars in Golf Digest, and they got it right. Perfect conditions; great shot values; and with the detail and care paid to the surroundings, you bareley notice the houses, set well back, that front only about half the holes. Wide fairwarys, but tough approaches and very subtle, perfectly true greens.

The par 3's are world class. Fitting venue for the 2007 State Amateur.

Bring your A game; only 3 players out of 78 shot par or better in the U.S. Open qualifying held here.

It's not Whistling Straights or Blackwolf Run, but is as good as any other course in the state.

Customer Service

In keeping with the course overall quality and image.

Reminisent of Nicklaus courses; complete sight lines from tee to green. Wide fairways. No gimmicks. Playable for ever level; but it can be set up to play every bit of its 74.2 rating.

Model Reviewed: Bristlecone Pines

This course had a lot of hype and I had been told by several people that it is one of the nicer courses in the area. Once getting there, however I was thoroghly disappointed from start to finish. The whole atmosphere of the place is extremely pretentious and stuck up-I know they are trying to go private, but still. When I pay close to $100 to golf I expect to be blown away by the course, but that was not the case. Carts are requried, so forget about walking. Houses are everywhere, conttibuting to a theme park like atmosphere. I was not impressed by the layout, typical shock value modern golf architecture only trying to visually impress the average hacker. If you are serious about golf, avoid at all costs. Course condtions were fairly decent, although not what you would expect for a course of that price.

Final recomendation: if you are the businessman type looking to impress clients, this course will suit you well. However, if you are a serious golfer looking to test your game dont ever ever ever waste your time at Bristlecone Pines.

Customer Service

Overbearing and pretentious

Great shape, very well maintained. Fairways are wide, but the rough is very thick and unforgiving. Plenty of water to make things interesting. Very fast greens. Also, the homes around the course are amazing, but are not so close to the course as to be distracting.

Customer Service

Rangers, pro shop and wait staff were all friendly.

One of the better courses in the greater Milwaukee area. Always in great shape and usually not too crowded. The course is slowly going private so you might want to get there by the end of '04. The course plays long but is far from impossible. The only better public courses within an hour of Milwaukee may be the four world class courses in the Kohler area.

Customer Service

Very good.

First class course. Excellent conditions- great views. Has some pretty generous fairways, but if you stay off course you're either OB or in some of the thickest rough in the area.Pace of play is excellent. Greens in excellent shape and they hold shots very well.

Customer Service

excellent,if not overdone.I don't need to pay a kid to take my clubs off of a cart!

I felt this was a great course. I was very impressed with the layout, the conditions were great given the fact we haven't had much rain here. This course is definitely a first class facility. Be prepared to hit the driver well because it is long.
