1971 Bounce Sole (Last Year before Apex) Summary:
I picked up a set of the 1971 Bounce Soles in near mint condition last summer on ebay for $75 shipped. These irons feel like butter when well struck. Mine are different from the Bounce Sole's pictured (1968). They are basically identical to the following 1972 Apex "Classic" except for the "Bounce Sole" designation. Like any blade, they WILL provide feedback good or bad. Thats what I like about blades. I am a Hogan lover for life! Even though Callaway has decided to kill the once great brand. The best part about these Hogans is that they were forged and assembled in Ft. Worth TX. Nothing, I MEAN NOTHING will beat a well struck blade shot. Especially a Texas-born Hogan blade!
