Summary: I bought this club in the off season. And when i started out in the spring i couldnt hit it well. But now it is my baby! I play with much better golfers than me, and i chip 10x better than they do and im so consistent with it! I hit all sorts of shots with this, out of the bunker, 100 yards away up hill down hill...best club in my bag!

Summary: I have a few Hogan clubs in my bag (CFT 3 & 4 hybrids and Baby Ben Mallet Putter, which is THE BEST putter I've ever used) so I thought the good results I got with BH clubs would continue with the Riviera. Boy, was I wrong. Wedge play is one of my strong suits (index is 3.8), but this club was awful for me. Despite the fact they were decent out of the sand, I expect my wedges to perform out of grass as well. The leading edge of the sole is WAY too sharp (easy to hit fat), feel is poor (even for forged), and the glare off this clubhead is unbearable. These may be the reasons Hogan discontinued these wedges. Sticking with my Vokey.

Summary: This is a really nice wedge for a great price. The one thing that really sucks about this wedge is the face, the sun will constantly reflect off the face into your eyes as your about to hit your shot. When using this wedge make sure your tee off time is at about 6 in the morning so the sun isnt beaming you in the eyes. Has nice feel though and pritty good spin, i would recomened this for players in the 80's and below, the wedge does tend to dig into the ground sometimes.
Summary: I purchased these to compliment my new Ben Hogan irons and to replace my worn Nike wedges. I use both the 56* and 60* with the stock Apex steel shafts.
I was impressed with the balance and feel of the Hogan wedges, as I am with all of their clubs. These are solid without feeling "heavy" as my Nike's often did. The feedback reminds me of my old Titleist Vokey wedges, but with a much better price tag. I especially appreciate the way Hogan has shaped the heel grind, which makes it very comfortable to open the club in a bunker and let the bounce do the work. The reduced bounce of the lob wedge (4*) is also appreciated when faced with one of those tight fairway lies with 40 yards remaining to an impossibly difficult pin location that we inevitably encounter during our Sunday rounds.
These are a great all-around set of wedges.
Customer Service: High marks; could have something to do with Callaway's ownership now of Ben Hogan golf. Unfortunately, I think the Riviera line is being discontinued and may only be available on closeout or on the secondary/used market. I got mine for $59 each at Edwin Watts.
Summary: Purchased this beautiful wedge to complete my set of Hogan clubs. Have used this club for two rounds and like it very much. Makes getting out the trap seem simple and easy. Just swing and let the club do the work. I don't fear the sand like I used to.
