Alpine Stand Bag

Summary:
I have this bag and a Sun Mountain bag. Though the SM stand bag is very sturdy, I was looking for lighter one. After doing an internet search, I thought the Alpine would be the choice, especially since it's a Burton. On the plus side, this bag is very light and the straps though a little thin are relatively comfortable. However, the negatives really overwhelm any good things about this bag. First off, the bag is primarily constructed with weight in mind, and it really shows. It stands about 2 inches shorter than others, which makes standard length clubs stick out of the top a bit. The 100 Denier material seems strong, but the stitching has a hard time holding sewn material together, probably because there's nothing to bite into. The webbing that holds the strap to the bag and one of the pockets have all needed to be re-sewn or replaced. Next, the legs are a pain in the butt. They eventually started hanging below the bag and became a struggle to place the bag in the backseat of my suv--doesn't like going in "feet first." They also dangle irritatingly low when carried. The aluminum legs are pretty flimsy and easily bent. I have replaced them once. All of these troubles occurred within the first year of use. I do not recommend this bag, and I hope Burton's new line of bags are better made and carry at least a 6month warranty, if not life, like Sun Mountain.

Customer Service:
Buton was nice enough to fix all the issues with this bag, but always after stating that stand bags are not warrantied beyond 60days (I think) and my insisting that the bag is flawed. No one beats Sun Mountain for their life time guarantee. I'm going back to them for light stand bag.
