56 degree 588 Summary:
I believe this club requires considerable practice from fairway lies, however it becomes a very effective once you get a feel for it. I have found that playing the ball about an inch back from center works well for me and leads to a more crisp strike and better distance control.

I really do not understand how these get such a low rating. Many of the gripes I have read about these I do not agree with. Yes they are light and I have found I do get about 5 yards less distance from them as other wedges - Bid deal!
What do I get in return for the slight yardage loss? Great feel and spin, dead solid accuracy and dependability.
I have the 53, 56 and 60. All were purchased used for $15.00 each at a local discount chain. All were in excellent to very good condition and will outspin even a brand new vokey spin milled or callaway xtour md!
Don't shy away from these if you find a good deal on them. Customer Service:

Cleveland 588 BeCu Summary:
Worst wedge ever. After a frustrating 2 or 3 seasons with this hunk of trash, I finally traded it in for a new RTG+ CG12. This is the first golf club i've ever felt bad about trading in. I should done the humanitarian thing and not made this club available to anyone else. It gets NO spin at all. NONE. The grooves got trashed from normal play. I had the 53* and it hardly went 90 yards. I bought it to go 110* I really hope nobody ever buys this wedge. Also, most of the five star ratings are from 90+ golfers. If I remember correctly what it was like to shoot in the 90's, I was able to identify a good club from a dud. This is a DUD. Similar Products Used:

Cleveland 588 BeCu 56 and 60 Summary:
I played my last cleveland 56 until I couldn't generate spin because the grooves were so worn down and I'll probably end up doing the same with this one. This time around I went with the BeCu and I've been very happy with the results.
My favorite shots in golf are 80 yards and in where creativity and touch are rewarded. When these wedges are on, it's a fun day at the course. I prefer wedges on the lighter side (these fit the bill) because I'm able to get a ton more feel and distance control on short pitches than with heavier heads that generate more distance by themselves.
As far as distance control on full swings goes, it's only consistent when I'm hitting the ball solid. Mis-hits hurt distance and line.
Well struck shots feel very solid and generate plenty of spin. I will say that these are not forgiving for shots off the toe or high off the face as I lose at least 15% distance on those.
Overall I love the feel and touch I get with these and would recommend them to people who like being creative on the 100yd and in game as much as I do. They do take some getting used to since they are a softer material, but once I got them grooved to my game I've been happy ever since. I would not generally recommend them to the higher handicap player since they are not forgiving. Customer Service:

Cleveland 588 BeCu wedge Summary:
The BeCu wedge is made to be soft, very soft. This is why it feels a bit brittle at address. It is also a light metal. This wedge will work for you if you are a feel player and looking to "throw darts" 60 to 90 yards out. If you are looking for distance (i.e. 100 to 120 yards with a SW) then you should get something else or a gap wedge. This is a unique and exceptional wedge for a feel player that wants a rare BeCu quality wedge in their bag. This is the real Mcoy. A unique attribute is that you can get this wedge to do what you want without a super aggressive angle of decent. PS: it takes some time to get used to it. "Zero tension in the arms" because it is light. A bit expensive if you pay full price... Customer Service:
