cobra 460 cc

Summary:
After a few demo's I tried this 9 degree Cobra and WOW I found my driver. I was always a good iron player and a so-so driver until now. This driver is long, long, long and easy to work. I used to dread the tee box, now I can't wait to tee off. Found a slightly used demo on e-bay for $35.00. GO GET ONE !!

king cobra sz 460

Summary:
Think I have finally found the driver for me. Cobra sz460 10.5 degrees with aldila high launch shaft in regular. Driving has been the weakest part of my game, so decided to buy some secondhand drivers and try them out on the course, rather than go by results at the range or on launch monitors. Tried the cobra comp 414 and 454. The Taylormade superquad and the cleveland launcher 460 and cleveland comp, to name just a few. All in a variety of shaft flex and lofts. Expensive way of doing it, but at least I have a few drivers to sell. (Really liked the 414 and will keep it as back up). The sz460 suits me down to the ground. Hits long, high and straight. My slice seems to have all but gone. The regular shaft plays a bit stiffer than some I have tried and I really can feel it unleash through the ball. Although the ball flight is very high it still flies good distances into strong winds.
The sz460 has to be the most forgiving driver I have tried as well. (launcher 460 was quite easy to hit too).

Cobra 460 SZ

Summary:
I bought this club new for $199 last year (2007). At the time I hit it better than several of the other drivers in the same price range. This week I was hell bent on getting a Taylor Made Burner because the price has dropped to around $179. I couldn't justify it. I couldn't get any more distance or direction out of the Taylor Made than I can my SZ. I'll stick with this club until something better that doesn't cost $400 comes around. It may be a while. I like this club and upgrading would only serve the purpose of looking pretentious. It works well enough for me to hit straight 225-250 yards.

Customer Service:
Never used it but I understand Cobra is part of Acushnet along with Titleist and Footjoy.

King Cobra 460SZ

Summary:
Tried them all and I keep coming back to the King Cobras. First it was the 440SZ then I went back in time and fell in love with the 427. Then I got hooked on the Cleveland Sport OS 410 which is equally as good. And just by accident I went into a local Nevada Bob's and seen this $99 USED driver in a bin and noticed it was a 460SZ which I have never tried and purchased it. I then found out at the register that it was cut down 1/2" inch along with a nice brand new GolfPride grip so I thought I'd give it a shot. Well let me tell you on that particular twilight session I think I went 6/7 down the fairway and the first tee was PERFECT! Talk about a relief, I was totally stoked. From then on which has been about 2 months I have been matching and surpassing most personal bests and that is not lie my friend.
