Cobra L4V M

Summary:
i finally upgraded to this driver after using a cheap slazenger one since i took up golf 2 years ago. i chose it after reading plenty of reviews and was not disappointed. my distance and accuracy have improved and it is very forgiving. i have read reviews complaining about the sound but i love it! only real complaint is that the face marks easily. also with the M model, dont think the draw bias will completely cure a slice, it does help, but you really need to make changes to your swing to help this.

Cobra L4V M Speed

Summary:
So far i really like this driver. Its 5-10 yds longer than my Launcher. Its also a fairway seeking monster. Attractive looking clubhead that is often seen being used at long drive championships (so u kno it must be of good quality). Only slight drawbacks are the sound (kind of an empty "can" sound). Also the shaft is lighter than most, but didnt take long to get used to.

Cobra L4V F

Summary:
I recently received the L4V for Christmas and finally unleashed it this week.

Wow! Dead straight with the perfect launch angle for my game - I hit my driver low and irons high. This now puts me right with everyone else in drive height but still holds a powerful boring look to it.

I've always been a long driver, though in recent years have tried to scale back distance in pursuit of accuracy (to which I am horrific!). This driver has added at least 20 yards yet is deadly accurate as well. Every drive was dead straight... no movement of the ball at all. I tend to hit high hooks when my swing is off and soaring slices when I swing too hard. With this driver I hit everything dead straight. "Dead" is a good word for it too... the ball seems to have no spin at all in the air and yet it runs like a madman when it finally touches down on the fairway. I could not get the thing to draw at all however a powerful yet slightly turning fade was achieved the first time I encountered a dogleg right wrapping around water. I had the confidence that it wouldn't overfade -- if anything it would just go straight. Definitely a great driver for someone who just wants to bomb it into the fairway.

The sound is odd... my playing partner likened it to a deep ceremonial Chinese bell... not quite a gong but a loud metallic "CHONG". I can see how many would be put off by this sound.

There isnt much feel to the club... you cannot tell if you miss-hit at all. The shiny clubface gets marked up easily and that is the only way you can tell if you've hit off the toe, heel, or from the sweet-spot. Its surprising to look at a ball mark on the toe and then realize you are still 280 yards out and in the fairway. "That miss-hit felt fine - looked good in the air - ended up pretty good... but man, it was way off the toe!"

When I reach for this club now I KNOW I'll be attacking the fairway and a long, long way out there. I've never had confidence on the tee with the driver before... now its bordering on arrogance.

Cobra L4V F

Summary:
Just bought this club (9 degree, R flex) and have played it three rounds and am very disappointed w/ the performance. Less distance than either of my previous drivers (Titleist D1 & Ping G-10). The club is so light that it's like fanning the ball rather than swinging through it. No swing feel.

Good looking club but low on distance performance; direction control is acceptable but no better that other hi-tech clubs.
