Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Hi-Cor Hot Face Irons Summary: I recently purchased a set of Golfsmith Hi-Cor Hot Face Iron Heads (3-PW + SW), and a set of True Temper Black Gold X-Stiff Shafts....WOW!! What a great combination. I am a low teens handicapper, but believe part of what has kept me from being lower is short game, and part of it is that my irons (X-14 Callaways with Regular Flex) is the problem. I can generate swing speeds on a 5-iron in the 105-110 range. The problem is, with the regular flex, and the high trajectory and workability of the X-14s, I couldn't hit the ball straight consistently. I just went to the range, and out of 100 balls, 95 went DEAD ON where I aimed them. The others were ones I had swing mechanic problems (swinging too hard).
Anyway, I love the ball flight and low spin of the club heads. And the TT Black Gold Shafts with low torque and high kick point are GREAT for people who swing hard but have problems with direction.
Way to go GOLFSMITH, you built a WINNER!! Customer Service: No problems with shipping, etc... Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14s
