LB-708 4 iron

Summary:
I recently purchased a second hand 4iron (LB-708) and am totally impressed with the ease of use and the distance achieved with the club. I also have a set of AP-702 clubs, since using them my handicap has come down by two and I am hitting regularly 81-83. Very happy with the results.

HONMA LB708

Summary:
IVE HAD THESE FOR OVER 10 YEARS NOW. LOVE THEM TO DEATH. GRAFITE SHAFTS ARE SOFT ON WRISTS AND ELBOWS, BUT STIFFNESS IS EQUAL TO STEEL FOR ACCURACY. I WILL OCCASSIONALLY SWITCH TO A NEW CLUB (MIZUNO, CALLAWAY, TITLIEST) WHEN A NEW GIMMICK APPEARS, BUT ALWAYS GO BACK TO MY HONMAS. GOOD STEEL USED. IVE GOT NO DINGS IN 10 YEARS OF USE, 3-4 ROUNDS PER WEEK. IF I COULD FIND ANOTHER MATCHING SET, I'D BUY IN A SECOND.

Customer Service:
NOT NEEDED. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM IN 10 YEARS.

Honma LB 708 New H&F

Summary:
I have used just about every set of "well know" brands of irons known to golf. I have always liked Japanese gear, they are always well made and presented. Used a lot of Mizuno irons with mixed success. Found this set of Honma irons on ebay Left handed, brand new at a good price. Honma is one of those brands that have always been very expensive but no one (high profile pro's)ever uses them. These irons are well presented and well made and are not forged but made of Hagane steel. It must be very hard because you can hit balls for hours the clubs clean up totally unmarked, I mean not even a scratch. Maybe thats why old Honma clubs look so good on ebay. What I really like is the honma graphite / titanium shafts, they are really light and I found that I am about a club longer in distance with these irons, I think mainly because of the very light shafts. The 10 Iron (pitching wedge) is the best wedge I have ever used, very easy to pitch and chip with and has excellent feel considering it is not forged. Overall a very nice set.

Honma LB708

Summary:
I bought a set of used Honma LB708 some time ago as backup set to my Titleist 704.CB. I did not use it much until recently I started comparing my titleist iron and LB708 at the range iron-to-iron. I fount the honma set is extremely nice to use. I have been getting more solid hits using the LB708 with good distance. I have felt in love with the set and have since made it my main iron set.

If you can get hold of it. Try it out, you will not regret it.
