Summary:
I have bought,played,and sold golf iron sets over 20 times on E-Bay. I have lost count of how many sets that I have bought at Edwin Watts and other shops. Last November, I won the Championship flight of my golfing group by shooting a 69 on a difficult weather day. The course is not long and pretty wide open, but it was still one of my best rounds. I was playing
the Cleveland Launcher graphite with regular shaft. To be honest, my short game
was on that day and not my ball striking, which remained sour through the end of the
year. At the beginning of 2009, I decided
to find a set of blades and improve my iron game. I missed out on a set of MP-14's that were in great shape because
I could not get the price to where I wanted. A couple of weeks ago, I made the best trade of my life. After going to a 3rd golf store on a Saturday morning, I
found a set of irons that I had never seen. Golf Galaxy had a used set of the JNP classic forged blades limited, 2-pw, Dynamic Gold S-300 steel shafts. The set was in almost new shape with no groove wear, no dings, and almost new grips. I am
6'4" tall. These were 1 degree upright. I
hit balls in the net and got really excited. I traded in my set of launchers
and I know that this is hard to believe, but I paid $2.08 out of pocket. I showed
the receipt to my wife so that she would believe me. I told her that she would have to sleep on the couch that night to make room for my irons. The next day, I hit a couple of buckets on the range. Toward the end, I had the swing where I was hitting the 2 iron off of a tight lie with pretty good consistency. These heads are slightly larger than most blades and feel great. For me, there is plenty of forgiveness. On my first round, I shot 72 on the same course while not making many putts. The set up gives you confidence, especially on tight lies. None of my cavity backs gave me that feel. I can work these some, where I could not with the launchers. Miss hits are not that bad and tell me exactly where I hit on the face. Pure shots with the forged head can't feel any better. The lofts are not as strong as what I am used to, but I am getting a high trajectory with no lost of distance. I compared the specs to the original Nike forged blades and the lofts are identical. I look forward to more rounds and learning the set fully. All I can say is "Thanks Jack Nicklaus."

Summary:
last month was in search of a new 3 wood. wanted steel shaft club. p/u the 35-S 15* Nicklaus and have never looked back. paid 109.00 best 3 wood I have ever played, ball flight, distance and working the ball are tops. decided to take the 3 swing challenge w/driver. well traded in current driver bridgestone s33r 9.5 speeder 757 for a 440ml 8* stock xflex driver. all I can say is hit this driver one two three times and you will know it is top notch club. so now comes irons, got a great deal on them under 600.00 being a forged club. traded in a set of Cleveland CG2's plus 150.00 to boot. these irons remind me of the old mac's 1025m's but not as much backing on the long irons as the mac's. I will keep these irons for a very looooong time. they are a first rate piece of equipment. only 500 sets out there mine are #177

Summary:
Traditional blades with nice styling. Reduced offset allow for some creative shot shaping. Only 500 sets to be produced. Nicklaus name insures quality and performance. You will not be disappointed.

Summary:
Arguably the most beautiful irons ever produced, the Nicklaus JNP forged blade offers a surprising amount of playability for such a traditional design. The head size is a bit bigger than a normal blade and the leading edge makes it easy to glide thru the grass. The shot feedback and transmission are equal to any iron I've ever played and distance control is spot on. If you hit the ball with some consistancy, desire immediate feedback to hone your shot making and enjoy the subtle satisfaction of owning a unique and rare work of art to which most people can't relate, you should try to get your hands on a set of these...although it's neither easy nor cheap to do.
