Ogio Octane Summary:
I had been looking for a lightweight, fully featured bag for a while. After I walked practice rounds and the competition rounds for the 2007 US Amateur Pub Linx qualifier using a push cart, I decided there there had to be a better way. I am one of those golfers who couldn't decide if it was far better to invest in a nice push cart or a nice carry/stand bag. The Ogio Octane is a great bag. Fully loaded up, its still light to carry. If it it has a problem, its the available storage space which is like the sune and air for golfers. We tend to fill up every available space because its there and not because we need to. It's tempting to treat this bag as a sort of mini cart bag but don't do that. Leave all the junk in the other bags when you carry this one........you'll love it even more. The walking accessible water bottle pocket is extremely handy and is immediately within reach when you walk. The straps make this bag hang comfortably even if your using just one strap but two is better...the bags weight when full of clubs is nicely distributed. I have a chronically temperamental back but his bag works extremely well. Leg stand mechanism isn't the most robust but its not the flimsiest I've seen either. I carry fourteen clubs, four of them wedges, which tend to be heavier clubs in the first place, and the weight is just fine. The Woodie Light top is a great idea. Easy access to clubs, four separate spaces for your woods, all lined for protection. I paid $59 for it at Golf Galaxy and I feel like I stole it at that price. And no, I don't work for Ogio or Golf Galaxy. I'm just someone who appreciates well thought out equipment that works. Similar Products Used:
