Summary: I love these clubs (gun metals) I play on the Thatcher High School golf team and ive hit my far share of other players irons and i have to say i love mine the best, the just have such a soft feel to them and they are super light with the se-80 s-flex snake eyes shafts, i know that i love my snaked eyes and i wouldn't trade them for anything and im most likely goin to be playing them for a long time

Summary: bought these irons off ebay and shipped them from texas to australia very cheaply. my previous set tm burner bubbles were stolen and since insurance paid out i am not too heart broken. for about 1/5 the price i really believe the fc- combined with Rapport advent graphite shafts are superior to the taylor mades and i was plenty happy with those. have not experienced any rusting problems on the gunmetals but australia on the west coast is a bloody desert and I have been hitting these in the summer months. they zing off the club with penetrating loft and my length per club increase is ten metres thereabouts (11 yards) give or take but effectively one club longer. if you are happy and content with something you know they go better for you but i have been cheesed off with my golf at times but not my iron play. the old story of chipping and putting which haunts me and many others. i am a firm believer in golfsmith products as i also have a 600t-c driver and one of the 3 iron/7 wood hybrid and i will not be submitting a review on the latter but that is not the clubs fault but i have not hit enough good shots to want to praise something i do not really like. the driver is very good and exceptionally long but of late my swing is crap and so are the results, nice long shots that go deeper in the bush and i always se that gap that i can get through. we all know better but. love the gunmetal fc-01 irons, though
Customer Service: not required and would be too difficult outside of the states to bother.

Summary: These things are sweet. I just wish I could get a hold of a 2 iron to go with the set (3-PW). I've got Rifle 6.5 flex in them so they are as stiff as a board, just the way I like them. Mine are the stainless steel versions so I haven't had any rusting problems and I haven't really even nicked them up much, not even when making a stupid choice and hitting out from inside a tree! They are the 1st full iron set I've owned and I love them. I don't think they'll be coming out of my bag any time soon. Just regrip them each winter and they're ready to go.
Customer Service: Awesome. Phone orders take no time. They'll answer any questions you have as well. Email responses come within 2 days.

Summary: I got these from Goldsmith last year on a closeout sale back in August. I put them together with Royal Precision Superlite steel shafts (regular flex). The results were pretty pleasing to the eye, but I've made lots of clubs before -- so it was easy.
I had been using game improvement 'knockoffs' before and when I switched to these clubs there were some major surprises. These are not exactly "game improvement" clubs; I had to learn to swing better and focus more on my game.
Actually using these clubs, when I finally learned how to use them, made all of my game much better; even my drives got straighter and much longer. These clubs fall between "game improvement" clubs and forged-type "player" clubs, so beware most problems with theses are from the nut at the end of the grip, but they are good irons.
I still shoot, too often, in the 100's but that's because my regular partner is a major distraction; asks all kinds of questions and the worst times -- like when I'm standing over the ball, 20 feet form the hole. When playing alone on the same course I'm consistently in the 90's with these clubs. No rust problems, soft stainless gets scratched, nice soft feel, with the light shafts C-9 swing weight, which is also nice. Good buys from Golfsmith this time of the year (August).
Customer Service: excellent -- can't ask for more
