Sun Mountain Speed E Cart

Summary:
I now make my own battery packs from UPS battery suppliers and everything is great. Its a wonderful way to play golf. Because it has 3 different yardage choices of 15-30-60 yards, the cart is always right where you need it. Can't imagine playing golf without it now.

Speed E Cart

Summary:
This is probably the worst $700 I have ever spend on golf. I am on my third battery in just over 2 years. I play about 20 time/year and always keep the battery hooked up to the automatic charger when not in use. Battery will not hold a charge after only a few rounds of play. Do not buy this cart!!!

Sun Mountain Speed Electric Cart

Summary:
I have used my cart for over two years now (113 times). I alternate between 2 batteries. I have never had any problems with the cart or the batteries. Very solidly made and folds down to a very compact size. The only down side is that it is no longer produced. Upside is maybe you can get one cheap and find a local shop for any repairs that may be required in the future.

Customer Service:
Never had to use it.

Speed E cart

Summary:
Purchased the Sun Mountain speed E cart in May. I have nothing but problems with this cart from day 1. The cart simply stops operating at various points in the round. I have changed batteries and have changed the control mechanism 3 times. Same problem. The cart is front wheel drive which works great if you play on a very flat course. Going up hill, when you need it most does not work with this cart. The wiring to the control panel is very poor and very susceptible to problems. DO NOT, repeat do not buy this cart. Buy the Hillbilly golf cart instead. Much better cart and service.

sun mountain speed e cart

Summary:
Although I basically like the way the cart is designed and runs, it has some serious flaws. First, despite marketing hype, the battery only gives me 40-60 rounds vs the 200 they advertise ($70 a pop). The spokes on the wheels seem to disintegrat by themselves; if you apply the least amount of pressure, they break. A few breaks require an entire wheel replacement. A long way to go with this cart. Would not recommend it.
