Summary:
I've had this club for about 6 years and it remains my favorite club in my bag. This is the easiest most forgiving 3 wood i've ever hit. It also sets up very well at address which promotes a good amount of confidence. I had given up using a driver off the tee for a couple years and this club did the job. I lose distance compared to my playing partners, usually in the 230-240 range with the occasional 260 bomb but i'm in the fairway. It's also pretty easy to hit off the turf which is something i used to struggle with given my steep swing path. You can find these on ebay cheap and would deffinately recommend.

Summary:
I have the 3 and 4 woods and they are the best sticks in my bag. They sound good and Taylormade put a nice shaft on them.
Actually, the 4W is lent out, as I prefer to carry a 5W (a Nickent.)

Summary:
This is my favorite club in my bag. Ridiculously easy off the fairway. Great for par-5s. Flush hits explode, and toed shots correct nicely but lose a little distance.

If you can find one of these in a second-hand golf shop I'd suggest picking one up.

Summary:
Now that I have played a few rounds with this fairway wood I wanted to share my thoughts with my fellow golfreview readers.

There seems to be a common theme amoung the reviewers that the stock R80 shaft and even the S90 are too flexible and whippie.

My Taylor Made 200 Steel 3 Wood has been reshafted with a Fujikura Tour Release 27.3 shaft. This is a stiff shaft which has been designed for swing speeds between 90 and 105 mph. I also re gripped the club with the new Dual Density Torsion Control (blue and black) grip from Lamkin.

Fujikura, the manufacturer of this shaft claims that the shaft promotes the ball to get airborne easily with less spin and I agree. As a result this club is easy to hit off the deck, very easy out of the rough, or off the tee. With the Fujikura shaft It is also dead accurate when target seeking and is not whippy.

Regrading the Lamkin grip, this is the second fairway wood that I have re-gripped with the Dual Density grip and I am impressed. Very grippe material with good feedback. I am not sure I am ready to re grip my Mizuno MP 60's which have the Golf Pride, Tour Velvet grips just yet, but maybe next season.
