Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: RAC forged cb Summary: Having bought a set of RAC forged CBs with a very light Japanese NS Pro steel shaft I have played with them since 2004. Results are mixed as I love the feel and manouverability of the club, but have lost some 5-10 yards in distance. Of center hits are a real pain, but a oversize club head would not satisfy me as much as the RAC cb. I have switched now to the TM Tour Preferred 2009 irons and cant believe the improvement, inspite of not being forged irons anymore.
The RAC cb is simply good but old technology.

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: TaylorMade Forged CB Summary: Got these clubs off ebay for a great bargin at $320. They have TT DG S-300 +1" and 2 degrees up. After about 10 range sessions to get used to them, I have now played three full rounds. Shot 79 today on a very tough course. I would never have been able to do this with my old sticks.
These clubs let you work the heck out of the ball. I used to never be able to work any club under 6 iron. Not any more. Today I drew a 9-Iron perfectly around some trees to set up a birdie.
They are suprisingly forgiving too. They look like blades at address but if you miss the sweet spot left or right you will not lose to much distance. Now if you catch them thin then you will pay.
Overall a great alternative to a blade. Thin topline yet forgiving.
Kudos to Taylor Made. Customer Service: Not used. Similar Products Used: None.

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: taylor made cb irons Summary: Picked these forged cavity backs used for a steal for what they are actually worth. Came with DG S300 TP shafts. Changed to DG SL 200 and am hitting these irons way better. 4 and 5 iron shots are easy are easy to hit. All irons feel like butter on clean contact. Fairly forgiving but they will let you know if you miss hit, which is good.
If you can get a set of these japanese forged irons, get them. They hit good, long and look great BUT get the shaft fitted to your swing i.e. regular flex if you swing at 80-100. Customer Service: never used. Similar Products Used: TM 360
TM 200

Scratch Golfer Model Reviewed: RAC CB Summary: I've never been a Taylor Made iron fan but I really like these irons. They have a feel very similar to a blade. They look like a blade but have a bit more forgiveness than the standard muscle-back. I know these a pretty rare but if your looking for a good solid golf club that offers you more fogiveness than the standard muscle-back this is your club. Trajectory is as expected and mis-hits don't feel terrible. If you get them, you can guarantee that you'll be the only one in your foursome with them.
