Summary: I am rolling a Cameron Studio Design 1. This is the classic blade with a shallow flange. An outstanding putter. If you are a feel person and want to learn to put a better stroke on the ball, then this is a choice you must consider. They are tough to find in perfect condition, and due to the finish, maintenance is required.
What I notice about this putter is how smooth it is. The ball never, and I mean never skids, will not jump on you, and again the feel and feedback is second to none. I also have a Laguna 2.5 and a Baby Ben. After using my blade and going back to the Laguna or mallet, it feels like cheating. This putter makes the others easier, but I always come back because of the feel and look a address.

Summary: Hopefully this review will be a help to anyone thinking about buying a Studio Design putter. If you look at all the manufacturers they all make a so called 'top putter' Ping's is the JAS series, Odyssey the Tri Hot. Scotty's has to be the Studio Design. I'm not saying the feel is any better than some of the above models but for me the looks and above all the judgement of distance with these models is far superior to others. I've owned this JAT prototype for years and it sat with the plastic on the grip doing nothing until I finally decided to give it a go. I wish I had sprung it into action earlier. It looks a million dollars, some of this comes from the fact that I know there are only 3000 of these models worldwide but mostly because it does what it is supposed to do, holes putts. Now it's not going to turn you from a bad putter into the best just by picking it up but I would say that you have a better chance of becoming a better putter using a model from this series due to the weight, balance, feel and good looks. Yes they are costly but how much did you pay for your last driver and what do you use the most? Buy one, these models are superb.

Summary: I've owned the Scotty Cameron Studio Design putter for over a year now. Terrific putter. I feel like I'm a better putter than I really am. The black putter head frames the ball nicely and the white sight line is easy to align. The putter sits square when placed down on the putting surface. The ball comes off the putter face with a nice feel and begins rolling almost immediately. The putter is slightly heavier that most on the market but allows you to take the putter back from the ball without snatching it away to make the stroke. Great putter for distance control. I keep the putter clean throughout the round and spray it will a silicone lubicant at the end of the round. I place it back into a generic putter cover (don't use the Cameron cover as it invites theft) without wiping excess lubricant. The residual lubricant in the putter cover protects the putter when you forget to spray. The lubricant on the putter serves an added bonus of allowing you to see where on the putter face you made contact with the ball. Never had problems with rust. I would suggest changing the grip as the original is fairly small causing more of a wristy stroke than what I would like.
Customer Service: The Cameron Customer Service is the best in the industry. If you ever need any work done on your putter the Custom Shop is outstanding. You can send them an old beat up, rusty putter and they will recondition it to like new condition. They're not cheap but better than buying a new Cameron. Scotty Cameron replace my old Santa Fe Te3 with a brand new version when it was lost in transit by FedEx after reconditioning!
Similar Products Used: You name it and I've tried it thinking my putting woes were due to the instrument instead of the stroke. I probably have 10 putters in my bedroom that will never see the light of day.

Summary: If you struggle with your putting stroke then do not buy this. The sweet spot is so small you will be hitting off centre therfore you will find it hard to judge distances. Ide consider other camerons.
