Top Flite Long and Soft Distance

Summary:
I began using these balls for my winter play because I found them on a shelf and had forgotten I had them. I am a short game enthusiast and normally would prefer a Pro V1 or Ben Hogan Tour Deep, but I found that I could play this ball very well. I get plenty of distance if 75 GIR means anything. I found it to play very well around and on the green. I have never had more one putts than with this ball. That may be a function of improving with my chipping, but something has changed, and it isn't my clubs!
Ball choice is such a personal thing, but I like how this plays, how it sounds off my Titleist 905T Titanium driver and how it looks at address. I cannot imagine why someone would rate it a 1. I will continue playing this ball as my score drops into the mid 80s. I found a neat trick. If I hit it a reasonable distance and keep it in the fairway and 1 putt every once in a while, I get a good score with these balls! Hmmmm.

Summary:
This ball is neither long nor soft. It feels like the Rock Flites of old. Don't bother. These balls hurt my ears when coming off of my titanium driver, they're so hard.

Two much better choices (if you like a ball that is long off the driver and the irons) are the Nike Power Distance Super Far and the Wilson DX2. Both of these balls have a soft feel off the driver and the putter, and they're longer than the top-flite off the tee.

TopFlite Long and Soft Distance

Summary:
These balls fly long and straight. I previously had been using Nike TA2/SPN and occasionally TopFlite XL 3000 super spin and Titleist Pro V1. These balls are great off the tee and putt well. They do not hold greens well from the fairway or the sand. For 14.99/dozen they are a great bargain. For anyone with a handicap in double digits, these will work well.

Summary:
Simple
Really long off the tee but you cannot stop it on the green. Bomb it off the tee and aim at least 10 yard short of the flag and let it roll.

I shot a 69 with this ball and it lives up to it's name. No point in spending $40-50 for balls when these are just as good.
