Wilson Deep Red II

Summary:
Have been playing poorly, (upper 90's) so thought a different set of irons could not hurt. Picked up a set of these on E-bay and shot 81 first time out. Hit the ball higher and straight. Can't wait to play again.

Wilson Deep Red II Distance Irons 3-PW

Summary:
These clubs do everything Wilson said they would. Extremely long, straight and very stable. Large forgiving face too. I also love the heavier feel of the club. Really lets you use the club to do the work. Massive power.

Anybody looking to for irons to do any of these things can stop with these. I can't understand how these aren't the most popular clubs in the world.

I finally progressed to a point where I needed irons with a little more feel. So I switched to the Deep Red II Tour irons. Rather than use a 3 and 5 wood though, I still use the 3, 4, and 5 irons from the Deep Red II Distance set mixed with the Tour irons.

Customer Service:
Don't know, never used it.

I'm only giving 4 stores for the Overall Rating because of the feel issue. But that's only significant if you are making that next step up from long and straight to shot shaping.

Summary:
These clubs are outstanding. They have a great feel and are straight as an arrow. Chipping and pitching are a cinch. Best set I've ever hit! Made a hole in one with my last set and these feel better.

Wilson Deep Red II

Summary:
After 23 years of playing golf with substandard clubs, I finally decided to buy a new set of clubs for myself. Deciding which ones would be the hard part. I asked for advice at the golf shop and was given a 7 iron from four different sets to try out (Taylor Made R7's, Orlimar, Nike CCI and Wilson Deep Red II's). After half a bucket of balls, the Taylor Made and Orlimars were set aside which left the Nikes and Wilsons. The Nikes and the Wilsons are very similar in feel, but the Wilsons won out in distance. I liked the Nikes very much and was looking for every reason I could to find fault with the Wilsons, but I couldn't do it. I ended up buying the Wilsons and have been more than happy to have them in my bag. Great feel and distance. If you're in the market for new clubs, don't be afraid to check out the closeout rack and try the Deep Reds. You might find that you same some money, too.
