Shoots in the 90s Model Reviewed: Yonex V-mass 400 irons Summary: Yonex V-mass 400 iron reviews are about as common as snow in the desert. This is unfortunate as it seems they are unknown and under appreciated by 80 - 90s golfers looking for Ping, TM, and other big names. They are not really for lower handcappers. My best round ever 83 and I like them.
I picked up the S-flex graphite P - 3 iron for 699.00 CDN currency, new. This is very cheap for the quality and they were 1000+ some time ago.
They are not longer than anything else, though are very forgiving. I tend to have issues hitting the P - 8 irons, and really hit the 7 - 3 extremely well. I need to work on the P - 8 and the Pitching wedge is most problematic for some reason (lack of talent?) They hit a very small draw and the distances are completely different for each club, as it should be. The 3 iron maxes at 210 for me and is an easy 190-200 club with slight draw. The 7 iron is 150-155 and dead straight. The 4 can go high and up to 200 from the fairway with some slight tailwind and stop quick on the green as I found on 1 occasion.
The face:
Beautiful inserted titanium with tungsten sole plug. Very solid at impact and a great sound with explosiveness. They strip some white off the ball with wedges through 3 iron. They don't mess the ball up though. I also have the Sand and Gap, and they are very straight and spin and remove some white from the ball. The sand wedge is incredible and high. No need for a lob.
shafts:
S-flex graphite are very good for moderate 95 MPH driver types. Higher than steel stiff and that's just fine with me. The ball totally sticks. Customer Service: don't know Similar Products Used: quite a few; own Mizuno MX-20 Stiff steel stock and like them. They are not as forgiving as these, though are keepers. The Mizuno MX-20 pitching wedge is 2nd to none and I'll play it with either set.
