i tried all kinds of drivers and finally i ended up with alpha c 830/2 driver 8.5 and fairwaywoods and must admit these are the best i ever had in my hands.i easily gained 20 yards from the tee and in the fairway and even out of the rough these woods are easy to play.my golfbuddy who is our club-pro hits the ball 30 yards further than with his top brand driver. these clubs are easy to hit and my slice is gone. just try them Customer Service if you want professional advise give them at alpha a try.they responde like nobody else on the net. |

Great head. I have it with Fujikura Tour Release 27.3 in X-flex, and it seems to do the thing for me. The club sits well at address and the big size doesn't show because of the deep face. Impact sound is nice and not too loud as with some OEM:s out there.. Tried 7 different heads with 7 different shafts past summer, and The Alpha is still in my bag.. Quality of the head is excellent and it looks damn fine. Shaft is cut down to 44' and it looks short in my hand(I'm 6ft7 tall), since the fairly deep bore, but the ball really exits the face with a high trajectory, and it never seems to come down.. I'm averigin about 300-310 yards with my short club, and since I got it, 2 of my friends have gotten similar heads after trying mine only once during a practise round. And since I play in Finland, it's nice to use a club that I know does't exist in too many bags out here.
