Model Reviewed: BOM460 10.5*, BOM401(nancy) 12*

even though i have an extensive driver collction, my BOMs see the most action. i have 2, the 10.5* 460cc is shafted for when my swing is feeling "on" and i can get on it. the 12* 401cc for when im just going to be making easy swings and i want the ball in play with good distance. the 460cc is black and looks very pretty, especially when combined with the accuflexevolution shaft. the head is cast and not forged but is as hot as anything else ive hit (which is just about everything). the 401cc is blue (also available in maroon) and looks ok, the paint could be a little brighter imho. the 401cc head is forged rather than cast like the 460 but feels about the same when hit. others have claimed that the 401 is longer but i cant say since mine are shafted differently with different lofts. the looks, feel, sound and end results will keep these at the top of my list for quite a while. may not be the best choice for those who struggle with control since Bang is one of the few companies making oversized heads with square face angles. for those of us looking for this sort of thing, i commend Bang, we no longer need to pay through the nose for a square driver.

Model Reviewed: Bang Bangomatic 9*

Purchased my BOM from M&M Golf with the Penley ETA in Tour-X. Great combo for experienced hard swingers. If u swing at LESS than 110, then go to the stiff flex. I can reach 126 in the lauch monitor and the X offers plenty of feel and feedback. Have also used the Mellow Yellow w/the Stealth 70 in X which is very long for a budget longdrive wannabe. Longest measured in competition with the BOM is 336 w/a 45 inch shaft. Get your swing speed on a lauch monitor and let a pro help you with shaft selection, UNLESS you"re an experienced player.

Customer Service

M&M Golf does a very good job of assembly and received it within about 4 days after ordering.

Model Reviewed: Bang-O-matic, 9 degree

Bang-O-Matic, 9 deg, with Accuflex Icon V3 at 45 inches, setup as firm flex. I'm sad to say I'm not impressed with this club. The head was highly recommended by a couple of Internet golf nuts I'm in contact with so based on their recommendations, I had the club made for me and it wasn't cheap (about US$250). When struck well, I find the distance is comparable to my Ping TiSi Tec but control is lacking. My most frequent miss is fade / slice and the Bang does nothing to help (unlike the Ping). If the Bang brought some other outstanding feature to my game (like extra distance or control) I would persevere with it but at this stage, I'm not impressed (other than it looks pretty good). I might get it reshafted with something like a Penley and see how that goes but the current combo doesn't do it for me.
