Burrows Golf MAC 400 Drivers

Burrows Golf MAC 400 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The MAC woods show extremely innovative technology, which is called the Powersphere concept. When a Powersphere club head strikes a ball, the energy shockwave begins its surge toward the back of the club head, where it impacts the Powersphere dome.

great product, the best of the Macs... I have a 55G S flex ProForce in it, goes a long way. VERY forgiving, so maybe the technology works... Way too cheap on Ebay, but the 400's are getting hard to find.

The Mac 400 is as long as most everything out there, and for peanuts.

Note: The stock Fuji HF series shafts are now sold as the Fuji Tour Platinum, a great shaft.

They be long gone. A little surprised that Golfsmith did not buy them out.

Model Reviewed: Burrows Mac powersphere 3+ wood

This company is out of business and bought this strong 3 wood for cheap from an e-tailer. Club looks good at address and appeared to have a nice fujikura shaft in it. I've had it for a couple of months and honestly don't use it all that often because I don't usually need to. I took it out on the course in a practice round and planned to hit 5 balls from a ladies tee that was 250 yards from the center of the green. Hit the first one beautifully, ended up about 220 yards out on an uphill hole. The second ball "CRACK" the shaft broke right where it enters the hosel. I don't know enough about golf and the equipment to know how or why shafts go bad but it's natural to wonder if this club sat in a non-temp controlled warehouse for a couple years after the company went out of business. IF you can pay $20 for it like I did, go ahead and get it. I plan to get it reshafted with a graffaloy blue shaft. Hopefully I can save the broken shaft and trim it down and build a 16* hybrid with it.

i recently purchased an 11.5 deg mac powersphere with a fujikura hf-6 shaft.this club looks great at address and does pretty much what the technology says - minimal vibrations and you have to hit it extremely poorly to not get any decent distance. the club seems as long as anything out there.the only drawback so far is the face is 1.5 deg closed to promote a draw which takes some time to get used to when lining up shots.all in all a great looking club, great feel and performance and excellent build quality.
