What can I say? Had'nt tried the ERC before, dont know why, but I got a good deal at my local store and tried it on the range.... This one has it all! great forgivness, great sound (not that high pitched Cobra-DIIING!), and all the distance you need! Mine is a 11*, regular stock shaft, but I can give it all I have and it's still super straight. And "all" is blowing it over the very high fence at 250 yards at the range. Just take a BIG, easy swing and enjoy... The biggest surprise is the forgivness though, isn't ERC supposed to be a "hard" club?? guess not! Even really bad hits fly strong.

Ok let me first explain that I've always loved callaway drivers, I've had the warbird, steelhead plus, biggest big bertha and now the ERC II. I really wish I would have kept my biggest big bertha cause I can't stand the ERCII. Driver use to be my best club in the bag easily hitting about 10-12 fairways per round, but now using the ERCII I'm hovering around 6-8 fairways which is decent but not really what I use to, distance is 10 yards or so longer then BBB but whats distance if its not in the fairway. I replaced the shaft with a grafalloy prolite firm flex which is slightly better then the original shaft it came with but not enough to make this club worth owning. I'm guessing the biggest reason why I hate this driver is the 2degree closed face, I'm a draw ball player so this club with my swing tend to equal pull hooks, I've only sliced this club maybe 3 times since I've owned it compared to about 90 hooks. So if you're a draw player and want this club go with the 8* which is square 0*, players who fade and slice a 10* ERCII may be your ansewer, I'm now going to purchase a great big bertha II 9* which I hit at the range and seem to like alot more then the over rated ERCII. Not a recommended club for power players with mid to low handicappers.

I am 18 years old and have been golfing for 8 years. My last driver was purchased 3 years ago, and I thought it was finally time for a titanium driver. After reading reviews on the ERC II, I figured that I am not going to be playing on the PGA tour so the "illegal" status didn't effect me much. When I received the club, I instantly found great success when I took it to the course (I didn't even go to the range). I have hit the thing about 25 times on the course, and all I can say is that it has added about 30-40 yards on my drives. Instead of hitting driver 5 iron on most par 4's, I am hitting driver(270 yards) 8 iron. Trust me, it is a lot more fun to hit low irons into the greens, and stopping it right near the pin. It proves to be a lot more fun when you can shoot right at the flag rather than hoping it hits the green somewhere. Also, this driver makes an awesome sound, and I have not experienced a duck hook what so ever. I would strongly recommend this club.

I purchased the ERC before it was declared illegal. It is very long and the most benefit comes from off center hits. However, once I learned it was illegal, I special ordered a Hawkeye VFT with an ERC shaft (50 grams). Now when I compare the two clubs, I find little difference. In fact, I am more accurate with the VFT and just as long. I believe the shaft is the most important thing to look at. Get the right shaft for your swing, and just about any of the top of the line drivers will work. I much prefer the VFT Hawkeye over the new Callaway Great Big Bertha and the Taylor Made and Ping Clubs. All are long, but the VFT is just as long and the head is much more traditional looking. I do not like the way the new Callaway, Ping, or Taylor Made look. The head is too big. If you have an ERC and want to be legal, I suggest you take the shaft out and put it in another club.

I can honestly say that for under £200 that you will struggle to find a better driver, I have found drivers difficult to use in the past and after 20 or so balls on the range I found myself driving over 280yards with a good level of accuracy, Whats more it allows an effortless swing and still delivers enough distance for any lengh of course I am likely to find Myself on. Go out and give it a try.

There are soooo many conflicting reviews about this club. Everyone is going to hit it differently and no body is 100% consistent, especially with a driver. Feel is also very subjective. After hitting balls with the ERC 2-12 deg., I knew this was longer than what I've owned and hit in the past, which was 225-250 yds. It's true that if you don't have a perfect swing and if you don't hit the sweet spot every time, the ball will not go the way it's suppose too. Even though I don't shoot in the 80's or lower, I'm skilled and honest enough to know that most of the faults are casued by the golfer than the club, which few reviewers will admit to these days. I can say that this may not be the greatest driver to date, especially if you pay full price, but hey, I bought mine at a steal of a deal. It was a demo club at a 5 star golf course, which was barely used. When compared to a Taylor made 580 or Cobra 427, I couldn't really tell much difference in distance since each test was in the 250-275yd range, but certainly the price was a major factor for my decision to buy at $320 Cdn. ( $220 USD ) As long as it works for you, it's a good club... even better if you can get one this cheap.

Angus Glen Golf course is the best. My wife also bought herself a set of Ping I3+ irons with custom fitting, I got free advise on custom fitting and they let us hit numerous drivers to compare at the driving range, not your usual net or simulator

Having tired most drivers around for the last year i had previously settled for the a Titleist 975J-VS 10.5 degree stiff, which is a fantastic club and i hit it consistantly over 300 yards, i decided i needed another driver so i tried the ERC 2 and found it to be absolutly fantastic the feel is great ans the distance is impressive but for a professional looking club it has professional needs you need to be a good player to use one of these end of story, its the only way to get the best out of it.

After all the fuss made about this club, when I teed it up for the first time it had a lot to live up to! My previous 9 degree hawkeye driver had served me well. A good club but the promised extra length of the ERCII proved to much of a temptation. My ERCII is 9 degrees fitted with a pro force 75 extra stiff shaft. My first impressions were good. The one weakness with my driving was often a high trajectory which gave me little roll but straight away this driver lowered my trajectory. Although my drives pitch about the same distance the lower trajectory has given me a minimum extra 15-20 yards of roll. People say that you shouldnt try to swing the club to hard. But in my opinion if you put the club in the right positions with good timing then the balls going to fly whatever club youve got in your hands. This club is worth buying just for the joy of teeing it up nice and high and just booming it out of the middle.

Customer Service

A rattling in the head so I sent the club back to Callaway. They didnt fix it, they just sent me a brand new club!! Awesome
