Had a Callaway rep fit me for an FT-3 Fusion during a demo day using their Opti-Fit system. As a lefty, they didn't have all the components, but I let the guy talk me into a Draw-bias model. Bad idea. Took it to the course and started hooking everything into the desert. On top of that, it doesn't have a satisfying feel even when you hit it on the screws and it doesn't sound like a driver should. Distance was OK, but nothing to write home about. For the price, you can do better than the FT-3 fusion.

Customer Service

Golfsmith let me ruturn in under their 90 day policy. Disappointed in Cally rep's poor club fitting.

Didn't like this one at all. No feedback from clubface. Don't like the look at address either. Doesn't look squared to targetline when it is.

This driver has added 20+ yards to my drives vs. my prior-used Big Bertha Titanium 454. Am having (shorter) shots into the greens at my course that I never had before. Also more drives find the fairway. For me, the key has been the standard stock Aldila NVS shaft made for Callaway. Forces me to swing slow and rhythmic and in control to let the club help me get the results.

Customer Service

Callaway (in this case PreOwned) service has never let me down.

Before I begin, I do want to let everyone know that you can still slice the ball with this club.

I bought this club pre-owned from Golfsmith. I would have rather had the 9*, but at my playing level, 1 degree of loft is not going to make a huge difference in performance. Prior to using this club, I had a pretty terrible slice, so much that I rarely would use driver other than on a hole with a dog-leg right. Now, I am hitting 80% or better straight down the pipe, 10% with a slight fade, and the other 10% just bad shots (slices, tops, hooks). I was really pleased with the results. Previously, I would average 225-235 yds, and as long as 250-260 if everything went right. Now I am consistently 250 yds, with some getting into the 275+ range - it's amazing how much farther the ball goes if it goes straight instead of 40 yards to the right. If you hit a slice regularly, I would recommend trying one of these out. Of course, there is no substitution for proper mechanics, but, as I see it, everything you can do to tilt the scales your way is only going to add more joy to the game.

Prior to purchase, I also hit the Taylormade R7 Draw and Ping G5 Offset. Both of these were solid clubs. The Callaway just felt better to me.

No experience with their customer service.

Just got the driver a day ago along with matching irons, i was only able to hit a small bucket and it hit well, have not hit enough for a full review. I do have a small problem, on the bottom of the club there is a chrome v that is used for decoration, after the first day of me swinging this club it is missing. anyone know where i can get a replacement from. callaway wants me to send them the club for 2 weeks, cant do that!

Customer Service

called them on this issue and they were very friendly but reoair time was longer than anyone wants to be without a driver.

I was hitting a small 380cc club head with a nuetral face. That club had a weak fade and i averaged around 260. The Fusion has a draw face and I have added about 20 yards to my drive and has dropped my scores by about 3 strokes per roind. The club is giving me shorter, more accurate clubs into the green.

Model Reviewed: Callaway Ft-3 Aldila 55 Regular

well i got this driver almost a year ago now and it is great. I gained distance but lost a little accuracy over other drivers. however this is not due to the clubhead it is the shaft. In my opinion the aldila 55 regular is not a regular flex it is much weaker than that. since then i have put in a mitsubishi bassara 63 gram stiff and the ball goes straight now overall a good club.

This is the best driver I have ever played. I was fit with the opti fit system and have never felt better about any club in my bag. Fairways are the only place I play from now. But I´m trading it in!!!! For the FT 5 !!! I was fit for it in the same set up and am now just waiting for delivery. If you´ve played the FT 3 you have to try the FT 5 its even longer & straighter!! Callaway really has taken over the Driver market!!!!!

Customer Service

Outstanding!

I spent a lot of time and money trying to find the best driver for me the past couple of years. I went through Clevelands, Pings, Adams, and a MacTec. All good clubs but none were consistent enough for my cruddy swing. My Dad got me this club for my birthday. I love Callaways but thought the loft would be too low. I was wrong. This things isn't a magic wand, but I finally found the properly balanced club that helps me get the ball in the air. It doesn't always go straight (my fault) but I do get it airborn and generally in the right diretion. After a few tips from a magazine, I even figured out how to hit a tiny draw. I obviously need more practice. The club is pricey but the technology seems worth it. I'm sticking with this club for a long time.

Customer Service

I've used Callaway customer service before. These guys take care of you. Every club in my bag is now a Callaway - that's how good they are.
