Driving the ball has always been the fun for me. On average I am around 300 and able to reach 330+ depending on the wind. I have shot the FT, 460, Ping G10, Ping G8, Taylor R7, Titleist 905, Taylor Burners (great clubs also) and the Callaway 454 is by far my favorite out of all these clubs. I don't think this club is the most forgiving but it hits longer than any other club. The noise it makes always turns heads on the tee box and driving range. I love the noise. I've had the club for over two years now and I'll probaly play it for quite some time to come. If you like hitting them long you'll like this club.

Just bought this club today. $99 bucks, brand new from my golf store. I saw 2 places on my home course that I have never seen before. I hit it high and just pound it. Puts my ft3 8.5* callaway to shame...10-15 yards longer and much easier to hit.

Don't pay $100s or even $50 more until you've tried this club. This club reduced backspin, sidespin, carried further, and released further than the G5 and Callaway X460 I hit on a launch monitor the same day.

I've had this club 4 years now. I have it equipped with the Graffaloy Prolaunch Blue (mid-high kickpoint). The driver is 8* and I had the shaft +2" from standard. Needless to say, my drives are bullets!! I've always been fond of Callaway woods. It may just be me, but I've noticed if I "get on this driver" I have a tendancy to hook it. But with the longer and stiff shaft, I don't get on it very often, no need to. It took me some time and experimentation to arrive at the configuration of my driver, but I don't know if I could be pleased any better with something else. This club is not the easiest to work, I can draw and fade, but I have hit others that are easier. But this club is loooooong and straight. It sounds good off the tee and the feedback with the upgraded shaft is remarkable. I have a lot of confidence in this club and usually the longest off the tee in my group. The set up on this driver is to keep the ball looow. So, in my case, it is important to hit it in the screws. This club makes it easy to do this. I have the newer Callaway 460 3 wood and I absolutey love this club so much so, that I have considered hitting the 460 driver. But I think that I will playing my 454 for some time. Wonderful club.

I am not long off the tee. Averaging about 220 yds though I have golfing for the last 10 years. Spent most of my life growing up playing soccer and non of the other sports that develop arm muscles. So when my BB 454 (9 deg) gave me 250 yds (include row), I think I have found my golfing soulmate. With this driver, it is definitely easier to get onto those 400+ par 4's in regulation. My normal ball flight is a draw but this driver when I swing it too hard will give me a fade. So swing easy and don't try to kill it. So happy with this driver that I went out to GolfTown in the recent Boxing Day sale and bought myself another BB 454 (this time 10 deg light shaft) as a back up driver.

Customer Service

Never used but GolfTown is generally very good.

Picked one up on Ebay with a stiff Prolaunch for $60 in mint condition. It arrived with a JUMBO sized grip which I intended to replace. Ended up taking it to play a couple of days later and HAMMERED the ball with it. I was playing a Hibore with the same shaft and a Launcher with the same Prolaunch shaft before that and could not hit them to save my life (I was taking lessons every week). A friend of mine told me that the JUMBO sized grip took a lot of "wrist" out of my swing, therefore allowing me to hit the ball well. To make a long story short, this club is now a favorite of mine. Yesterday I stood on a par 5 tee at RTJ in Greenville Alabama, dropped 15-20 balls and launched all them down the fairway. Just a simple driver with no gimmics purchased at a great price outdring the $300 friends. I even began to shape to ball later that day at the range. A very good buy for the money.

Just bought this club today at Golftown for 200$ CND( regular price 380$CND). I never had a good driver so its a big step up from my generic fairway driver that came with the cheap set of club i bought 6 years ago. I used to have trouble breaking 200yrds but with this club if i hit it straight im lose to the 250 mark. I have a soft shaft since i dont have strong wrist, so it help reduce my slice amd hit higher.
Im not used to it yet so i sometime pull the ball right( i play lefty) but its generally straighter and longer. Really happy about it.

I used Callaway steel head plus driver till 2003 then moved to Nike Forged Titanium 400CC with ProLauncher Blue stiff shaft till now. Golftown had a sale on this Callaway BB TI 454 so hit some balls in a simulation room and liked the feel. Bought it right there.
I had some trouble at the begining due to my swing flaw (getting to eager with my hands) but after a few visits to a driving range and my unofficial golf teacher (lol) pointing out 2 things, now it is much better.
one of my friend bought Nike Ignite 2 450CC Ti about the same time so I tried that club at the range with him (he is a handicap 4 player) and we both like this Callaway BB Ti 454 better.
Also tried TaylorMade Burner (the new one they just came out) and not as good feel and feedback.
this club has very very nice feel and you can really work the ball. be careful, though, since more workability means you can put slice or hook more easily. I think Nike I was using was more forgiving as far as slice and hooks are concerned but then Nike is less workable with your ball
