The Callaway Diablo Octane Tour Driver 8 Yards Longer Than Titanium! Lighter, faster, stronger, the all-new Diablo Octane Tour Driver is fueled by Forged Composite, a unique new material from Callaway that allows superior distribution of clubhead mass, compared with all-titanium drivers. best driver i have used in windy conditions, project x shaft works great with this head, have gained about 20 yards in distance, swinging easy and just meeting the ball.the shaft is 5.0 and i have no trouble getting the ball into a mid flight which i like.

Higher handicappers shouldn't be put off by this being a 'Tour' model (Like I was for a long time). This club was in the 2nd hand bin at my local range so I tried it out and couldn't believe the difference in shot dispersal and length, much longer and straighter than the R9 that was in my bag (it was the same on the course). My drives have improved to such a degree that I don't worry about the ball going right anymore. A pleasing sound at impact, ball flight is good, distance is more than adequate and 9 times out of 10 with a slight draw.I find it a little on the heavy side but can't see it being replaced any time soon. Obviously if you put a really bad swing on it it will go right but so far seems to be a push right rather than a slice,So far really happy with the performance and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. A 2 H/Cap friend has an R11 and despite being twice his age I can now match his drives (unless he gets really mad!).

Model Reviewed: Diablo Octane Black Tour 9.5°

I had been using a MacGregor M38 driver for years and was always able to hit it straight, but I went searching for something new to add a little distance. I bought a Cleveland Launcher DST Tour and just couldn't hit it straight to save my life. When I was able to hit it well, the distance was very good. But I was hitting too many hooks and pull/hooks. I just couldn't get any consistency.

I decided to give the Callaway Diablo Octane Tour a try and the LE Black version worked better for me and had a more pleasing look at address. I am really surprised by how well I hit this driver. Straight or a slight fade and LONG every time. Good contact feels very solid and the driver has a pleasing sound at impact. For people struggling with a hook in the age of ultra light drivers, this may be the cure. I can't believe this line isn't more popular. Very solid drivers at a very affordable price(the non-Black).
