Callaway Great Big Bertha II Drivers

Callaway Great Big Bertha II Drivers

DESCRIPTION

All-titanium construction with an ultra-thin face delivers high ball speeds for more distance Expanded head volume (380cc) and high moment of inertia make the face hot over a larger area for more distance even on off-center hits Spin rate and launch angle are optimized over the entire face area for more consistent trajectory Conforms to USGA C.O.R. rules Features GBB System 60 graphite shafts The Pro Series GBB II Drivers have neutral weighting and open face angles that appeal to players who want more ability to shape their shots, and who generally hit a draw

The best driver I have ever used. The big headed monster drivers are intimidating to me, but this one gave me the confidence. Very forgiving and straight.

Customer Service

Was given to me as a hand me down. so did not get a chance to use the customer service

I have been using this driver for 1 season now. It is accurate and very long. One of the better values you can find now.

Customer Service

Bought this driver from Callaway pre-owned for less than $100.00 with a trade-in. Good service and fast shipping.

Model Reviewed: great BB II

Notice the description as it say's "Huge 380cc head". I have a BB 2004 that's 360cc. The face on the 2004 BB 360cc is much longer than the BB II. The BBII has a large head but a small hittingn area, equvilent to the 330CC on the ERCII. I expected a larger hitting area w/ the larger club and am disappointed it's not.

Model Reviewed: CALLAWAY Great Big Bertha II

Compared to the ERC II that I previously owned, GBB II is easy and stable! Once hit by sweet spot, all balls go up and straight (little bit fade) with certain distance. No Slice nor Hook at all! Even I miss a sweet spot, it goes far enough with somewhere manageable place. No Out of Bounce that sometimes fell into with ERC II.

ERC II is a great driver in terms of DISTANCE. When hit by sweet spot with decent swing, it goes straight and far, far, and far away. However, if your swing is not decent enough or miss the sweet spot, it goes anywhere but not where you desired (particularly far right!)

If you are a gambler and looking for DISTANCE instead of manageability, ERC II is the best. You need certain level of skill to control. (I called ERC II is a Ferrari that is not easy to handle. Yet, once you get used to, it goes fast.) But if you are average golfer I definitely DO NOT recommend that.

Besides, the feature of GBB II is manageability. Of course, if hits by sweet spot, the ball goes far and straight to the middle of fairway. Even in case of miss hit, it still stays on the course with certain distance. I can recommend to anyone who suffers slice. Particularly a beginner. It is very easy. (Should I call it Camry?)
In terms of manageability, GBB II is the one you are looking for.

This driver is it for the average golfer. I bought it used form the pre owned web site and what a difference. I love the sound and I went from a weak 220yds fade to an eye popping strong high draw that gives me 40 extra yards. I have hit the most impresive drives ever.

Customer Service

The customer service was number 1. The sales representative new the product very well and I got exactly what I was hoping for.
