GBB2 System 60 Firm 10*
Well, here I am again. Having in the last 5 months gone from a GBB2 Firm 10* to a Cleveland Launcher 400 Aldila NV 65S 9.5*, then to an ERC Fusion Stock Firm 9*, I am now back to the GBB2 Firm Shaft 10*. Why have you done that you may ask. Well, without a doubt the GBB2 is the most forgiving out of the above. As well as being the easiest to hit, and gives a better trajectory (for me...). If I really really caught the Launcher there's no doubt that it is longer than the GBB2. But amateurs only do this very rarely. The GBB2 is certainly long enough, and will keep you in the fairway more from where we can hit moregreens and make more birdies. In the coming months I may upgrade the shaft - but for me (96MPH swing speed) I don't think going to the Aldila NV 65S is the answer (big high cut most of the time, which sometimes turned into a massive slice *YUCK*). If you want a good value (they have come down in price massively) driver, and one that keeps you in play, get one of these. Customer Service Not had to use it. Hit this club (had an Aldila NV65 stiff shaft) into an indoor net at a local golf shop. Can only say that an earlier reviewers comment that you can only tell where you hit the ball on the face by the sound of the hit and none by the feel off the clubface is right on the money. Everything else felt pretty good--nice balance, solid, explosive, liked the NV shaft. However, I want to FEEL where the ball is struck, so that was enough to turn me off from considering buying the club. If that's not that big of an issue with you, then this driver would be one to warrant your consideration. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Taylormade 510 Cobra SS350 Tour Taylormade 200 |

After trying a number of different brands I went back to Callaway and don't regret it. After I sold my VFT, I tried the Titleist 983, the r7 & 5, Launcher, Cobra, Mizuno and although I still like the MP-001, this GBBII is very nice. I have the 9* with a Fujikara stiff shaft. I tried the Fusion but did not care for the sound or feel which I like with the GBBII. Customer Service Fine Similar Products Used: See above |

GBBII 9* (380cc) Firm
I was looking to replace my Hawkeye VFT (which I had a tendancy to snap to the left upon occasion - although most of the time I was more than satisfied with it). The GBBII (380) has been great for me. Long off the tee, very forgiving and 10-15 yards longer than the VFT. The strange thing for me though was I hit the stock shaft better than the NV shaft (which I consistantly hit high and right - no idea why). I had heard to replace the shaft (have yet to try the Graffaloy Blue, which I will next)but the stock firm shaft flights pretty straight with a slight draw for me. Callaway GBB II driver - 10 degree
I originally purchased this club with the Stock firm shaft, which allowed me to really crush the ball about 25% of the time. The other 75% of the time I was hitting a screaming hook. I put a different shaft in, an Aldila C-SW shaft, which allowed me to keep the ball in the fairway about half the time. I just had a Grafalloy Blue Prolaunch installed and now I'm in the fairway about 75% of the time. The shaft really matters. Within a few more rounds, I should easily be in the 80's. Now, instead of waiting for the 300 yard miracle, I'm getting an average drive of 250 yards and the drives are landing in the fairways. I was tempted with the new Ping G2 drivers, but I believe I'll keep my current GBB II in the bag a while longer. For those of you having trouble with a decent driver in your bag, check the specs on your shaft. Similar Products Used: Ping G2, Callaway C4 and all the rest of the Callaway drivers. |

I'm not sure which I like better, the head or the shaft but this is the easiest swinging, most forgiving driver I've hit yet. It will handle some tape measure shots and ease it out there respectable distances with smooth swings. I've normally had to go with stiff shafts to keep from snap hooking drives into the next county but this Graffaloy blue in regular flex keeps up with everything I can give it. I have hit this driver 300 yds for those of you looking for distance. Best one I've had yet. The 330 launcher is hotter (IMO) and MAY be as good with the Graffaloy Blue shaft in it. This is a great driver. My old Hawkeye was showing it's age, so I decided to find a new driver. This is a really forgiving driver. Of the one's I demo'd, the Titleist hit it further, but the Bertha was more forgiving. I didn't really need the extra distance, so I went with the easier to hit. If you are buying one, don't get the stock shaft. It's inferior to the custom options that are available for the same price. I have had this club for 6 months now and hit it very consistently. If I try to "muscle" one out there, it explodes high and right. That's my fault, not the club's. The prices have come way down on these babies at the time of my review, so do yourself a favor and check one out. Quick note: Callaway factory grips are not that good. They feel slick. I regripped mine shortly after buying it and have not looked back! Customer Service Never used, but my golfing buddies have had good luck with them over the years. Had this club for approx. 4 months now. After the 45 day grace period where nothing can go wrong, it started to get away from me. That nice high draw was turning into a high fade. I thought the fun was over.... Went to the range and found out I was just swinging to hard. Back to fun time again. This club is without a doubt the most easy to hit I have ever used. Since it has been in my bag I know of two guys I hace played with, tried it, and bought their own. Long straight or slight draw and high carry. Callaway came up with a good one. I do have the Grafalloy Prolite and never hit the standard Callaway shaft. With the Prolite is just feels perfect. |

Oh yeah, the System 60 shaft is horrible. If you are going to get this club, get it with any other shaft but the stocker. You can get the Aldila shaft from Callaway for no additional cost but if you order direct from the manufacturer it will take about 2 months so check out ebay if you dont want to wait that long. |
