The head looks great. The club looks like a quality product, and check out the head cover it's great. Shaft looks OK. It feels so light and swings nice. But, I don't recommend it, it cost over $400.00 tax included. I bought one for my father in-law, a Christmas present. He has been glofing for a while now and has never treated himself to something so special. It has not helped his game though, and it won't. I'm just a beginner but I know the clubs don't do it, it's the individual. As long as you don't have wrong, or bad clubs it will not make a difference what you swing. If you want to give a nice present, or you have nothing better to do with your money, buy one. Otherwise stick it out with what you have. $400.00 for a couple of yards doesn't cut it. $400.00 of roses to my wife will make me much luckier.

I tried this out and this made my draw look a hook. I recommend this for people with slices only. If I tried to slice it then it would go straight. The sound isn't so pleasing. My Taylormades go about 30 yards farther.

Customer Service

I'm a lefty and Callaway is the best in having stock of clubs.

I picked up an 8* Hawkeye w/ 1.2 pro series stiff shaft a few weeks ago. I have to say that it is an excellent golf club. Callaway finally put a shaft in their club that you do not have to replace. The club is long and very straight. It really does help a mild fade or push back to the fairway.

Just bought it last week with a regular shaft. Slightly softer than others normal regular shaft. Should buy a firm-flex shaft. Anyway, I'm shooting futher and straighter now (after 4 rounds). Gaining distance ~10-20 metres, compare to T-Zoid. Bulging face can make you draw or fade.

This stick makes me feel like a decent player. I dont deserve a stick like this, considering i've only played for 2 months. But this beast gives me confidence to hit a straight tee shot. Hits consistenly nice 250 yard drives, that smoothened out my fade. Still it's quite playable with a forgiving sweet spot.

Customer Service

Awesome, two day replacement, as I broke the shaft in the 3rd round i played with it.

If you are inconsistent off the tee, this may help your game. Although the pro-series is recommended for better players, I have found that this club is one of the most forgiving clubs that I have tried. The 3.2 shaft was a little stiff for me but the 3.1 fit my swing perfectly leading to straight drives approx. 265-275 in the air. The key to hitting this club is smooth tempo and POW! the ball jumps off the club face creating a nice "tink" and beautiful flight pattern. Tried the 975, firesole and ping ISI - The PING was the longest of the bunch I had a terrible time choosing between the ping and Hawkeye, the Hawkeye was just a little more forgiving and consistent. I hit some drives with the PING that travelled 320 but the 8 degree loft was too low to play the hilly terrain of my home course. The 975 was great when you hit it right - if not watch out! and prepare to scream FORE!

Customer Service

Great service! Purchased x-12's and was having some problems - they recommended that I bring them in for a re-fitting at their location in California - quite pleased.

I walk into the golf shop and as usual I start looking at new clubs. I happen to be in the market for a driver and set of irons (someone stole my clubs out of the garage and scratched my brand new convertible on the way out). What a jagoff.

I looked at the Ping - first impression - jesus what a enormous dog knot. The attendent was singing its praises - Said everyone was buying it and loved it - I was not impressed but had to hit it.

I wander past the used club bag and see a Ping TISI, GBB, BBB, and Hawkeye. All for around $200 (half price- what a deal- a sale was going to happen). I end up buying the Hawkeye after eliminating the others.

Ping was nice but that head and the feel it produces didn't sing to my heart the way the Hawkeye did (same with GBB and BBB). Ping size made me self conscience - what an oversize whore, what was it that Freud said about club head size? now I know what having grapefruit size testicles in the locker room feels like. Just the opposite with the Hawkeye. I felt like a stud holding the Hawkeye and that "TING" was the sirens song.

I usually hit the drive about 240-260. First round with Hawkeye, I was going 260-280 with max of 300. I love this club. It has a hot club face, looks great, feels great, and is very consistent (but do not over cook the swing).

The bonus was that as I was walking up to the counter with my new money maker. I see a used set of X-12's with Winn grips for $350. Jesus, I felt like I was raiding the temple.

I recommend buying the Hawkeye and the Pro series is nice also. It felt even hotter and I did actually drive the ball further by 10 yards but not as consistent.

I had hook problem like others on this page, but i think it's their swings, not this club. I still occasionally hook some balls when i don't transfer my weight fully to the left, but when i have my natural rythm, i think it's one of the best and most forgiving and straight driver out there. However, the best thing about this driver is the sound. no matter where on the face you hit the ball, no matter how bad your ball flies, you will still be rewarded with loudest metal sound that will draw everyone's attention to you. So you better get a good swing or they will soon see how bad a player you are.

i have no idea.. but gotta be good.
