These are the best fairway woods I have ever tried. Helped bring my score to the "close to breaking 100" point. The 7 wood is the greatest from anywhere. consistant distance and so easy to get the ball up and far from the fairway or rough. I have the 3,5, and 7. If I had to do it again would go for the 4 and 7. If you buy these you won't be sorry. Customer Service Ordered my ladies clubs with men's grips and received them in days. Great customer service. I think these clubs may be for more advanced players. They are not that forgiving on off center hits. However, when you connect with the sweet spot the ball flys like no other club I've ever used. The deeper face lets the club work from the rough or the tee. The 3 wood I purchased is also the more workable club I've ever had. The price is comperable to Titleist, Cleveland, or the Adams Tour. I'll be using this club for a long time. Similar Products Used: Adams Tight Lies, Lynx Tour. |

Purchased an ex demo 5 and 7 wood, to help my game. I like to hit fairway woods off the tee on long par 3s or tight par 4s and these have just the right headsize to do this. Their feel on good shots is pure quality, with the now almost trademarked "Callaway Clink" at impact. Very easy to use from both the tee, fairway and pretty deep rough (esp. the 7 wood) I am looking usually to hit the 7 wood, 175-190 and the 5 wood 190-210 without having to bust a gut. Trajectory is great, just the right combination of height and length and from a clean lie it is possible to make the ball land and settle on the green. My only slight criticism is the alignment marker seems to my eyes to be slightly positioned towards the heel, which is unfortunate as heel shots seem to be punished a lot more with this club than toe shots, (the heel shot tends to hit a very low push cut). However once you have the confidence to address it slightly more towards the toe, though in reality probably the center of the face, it flies and acts like no other wood. Tried the Steelhead Plus and preferred these. Finally I got the RCH99 in a regular flex, (swingspeed, 89-94 mph, sorta of a nearly stiff flex swing speed according to my pro) and the shaft is on probation at the moment but may soon be replaced with Grafalloy Prolite 45 in S Flex. I honestly believe the New Steelhead Plus are just another way Callaway is trying to squeeze money from our walllets. Get an old Steelhead now as it's playable for any level of player. Customer Service Heard nothing but good stuff about the guys at Callaway, didn't have Johnny Miller or Alice Cooper answer the phone though.......:-) Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA Titanium, Tight Lies, Mizuno T Zoid, Hawkeyes |

Callaway Steelhead 9 degree & 4 wood
I bought these clubs two years ago with RCH shafts. Both were regular flex. Neither club felt matched and recently had the consistancy of the flexes checked out. Way off! Do yourself a favor, spend the money on reshafts. You will notice a significant improvement. I highly recommend the Apache Micros (If you can find them). I have shaved 4-5 strokes per round since the reshaft. Callaway produces a quality club head, however their shafts are suspect. Similar Products Used: Orlimar Tri-metal Tight-Lies |

OK, to be honest, i pretty much suck. I never had any luck hitting anything longer than my 7 iron. I purchased this Steelhead 7 wood, and it was the best money I've ever spent. I still slice on occasion, but i'm consistently hitting the ball down the middle of the fairway with distances I only dreamed about. For newbies who have trouble with long irons, buy this club. I got it used for $160. Some guy played 2 rounds with it and traded it in for one with a stiffer flex. Similar Products Used: None |

I love this club! I just took it out on the range and it is very forgiving and it has alright distance. The distance is good, I hit it around 250 - 260. It has a very nice look to it too. Customer Service Callaway service is the best! I had the original steelhead driver, but one day the pro at my course (he is a +4) snapped the head off it. So, my country club sent the club back to callaway, a couple days after they got it they called the course and said they couldn't reshaft it, so they were just going to send a steelhead+ to replace it. Those lazy b*stards! Similar Products Used: Steelhead, Taylor Made Ti bubble 2. |

I finally had the chance to give this club it's real test out on the course and I was impressed. I've had this club for about a month and have been putting in time with it out on the range. It was a good thing I had time to practice with it, because it was the only thing saving me that day out on the course since my short game was off. After a few good tee off's, my buddy's in my foursome started taking turns using my driver. By the end of the day, I had to fight em off from trying to keep the club. Bottom line...the club hits straight, even off mishits. It may not bang em' as far as other drivers on the market, but it still has some decent distance on it and sure produces a great sound when hit right! I was the envy of the day with my drives. I may have even convinced some into purchasing the club in the near future. Similar Products Used: None |
